I just got a Harrison jersey for Christmas!

That is okay, I will hold on to it until all is right with the world again.

I'm not trying to be a LeBeau but, where are these accounts? Not being anywhere near Pittsburgh, I don't see any stories on many other teams besides the Rams and Chokers!

It's kind of simple: A 6 sack a season guy shouldn't mock the franchise all-time sack leader as a general rule, you know, like, in life. Who does Bud think he is? He has been an utter and complete failure but he mocks an all time franchise greatest player of all time? Oooooo Kkkkkkkkkkkkk there hot shot.

IDK, once you lie to players, all bets are off. They lied to James. And kept lying and lying and lying.

Oh OK I get it now this is really about your dislike of bud Dupree.
Maybe those rules apply in your world, but in my world they don't. JH opened himself up to this kind of criticism with his actions. Again it doesn't matter if it was the Waterboy are the head coach when you act like he did anybody call you out. There's no rules for it.

I wonder who will have a more significant legacy in the NFL? D MVP, all time franchise sack leader Harrison, or "6 sack Dupree?"

Oh, selective history mode. James asked to be released after week 1, but Tomlin lied to 92 and kept lying to him all season. Lying is dirty. James never lied, the team did.

Who does Bud think he is?
A guy who had to work alongside of a deadbeat everyday. He is a guy who has to work his butt off every day while some 39 year old baby is allowed to half ass it.

This junk is getting out of hand.

It sucks. I'll miss Harrison and yes, I'm mad.

But my goodness, it is what it is.

I get the original poster's point. It is kind of funny to hear Bud Dupree go off on James Harrison. Like the guy or not he's a steeler legend and one of the best OLB's I've ever seen in my entire life. During his prime he was so unstoppable the league had to step in and stop him with fines, suspensions, and calling rules differently. Would be like Landry going off on Ben. At least be a good starter if you are going to go after a NFL legend.

That said, I also get why Bud is pissed. The dude acted like a total ass hole and then committed the ultimate betrayal to his teammates by quitting and signing with the Patriots for nothing. After taxes, union dues, agent fees, etc Harrison probably barely made enough money signing with the patriots to pay his property tax bill. It's really unfortunate that it got to this point.

Maybe steeler fans need to send players like Harrison a message by boycotting them for ever when they sign with mortal enemies at the end of their careers? I know it did cost Brett Favre some $ in Wisconsin when he signed with the Vikings. Alot of the same back stabbing went on with that departure. It took a long time before he was ever welcomed back to Greenbay and he single-handedly saved that franchise from being the Cleveland Browns. Harrison is very smart to keep his mouth shut. I suspect NE told him to do just that..shut your mouth and do your talking on the field. I kinda wish we had that same philosophy.

Take it to a craft store and have them take Harrison off and stitch Traitor.

No denying what JH has done for this franchise.....

But Father Time is undefeated and as he declined in his skill set he couldn't handle it. Hhis videos of workout wonderness marvels us all but it's not enough, speed kills and JH losing what he had has killed his game. He's shell of his former self, beat out by younger players. He was brought back to be a mentor and occasional back up player. Here he failed miserably, and it obvious hurt Dupree.

Many young guys come in and learn and grow being mentored by older players who embrace that role and pass it on. JH refused and it bothered Dupree... And JH was letting the team endure the wrath of fans over his release when in fact JH pouting and whining about his role and demanding his release, quitting on the team, quitting on his teammates and fellow OLB AND not visiting Shazier in the Hoapital with his teammates ....

Thank You Dupree on exposing JH and enlightening us to the truth. He quit you and us!!!

Who does James Harrison think he is? He couldn't make the Ravens and was on his way out the league. He's nothing without the Steelers.

JH has come out and said Bud doesnt know what he's talking about... he visited Shazier and he worked with Watt and Bud ... JH said go ask Watt and Shazier what he did or didn't do. Sounds to me like Bud was just shooting his mouth out of anger. He also did admit he didn't handle it the best he could and explained him self. So not showing up to meetings, not taking reps in practice, etc all came after they dicked him around and lied to him for a very long time. He quietly asked for a release 3x and the team ignored him and lied to him. Treat someone like that and you can usually expect problems down the road.

That said a coaching staff cannot sit there and allow bad behavior either. All of this should have been avoided. Don't quite understand why Tomlin would disrespect him like that and not expect issues. He should have been released when he first asked for it in week 1.

JH is not to blame neither are any of the other LB'S in front of him. The real truth resides in the Steeler's old played out approach . The Team has valued the OLB position way to to much for way to long . As I stated years back that coverage is what allows pressure to get home, we finally got better coverage guys and now the front guys can get home a lot easier.

So now it is more about high motor guys upfront than it is about pure skill . JH is a very skilled player , but the younger guys have much more stamina as they should . Because of that it is a lot harder to get JH on the field . This should also serve as a lesson to the young OLB'S..

They best not get to demanding as the focus has clearly shifted to the Cover guys . I suspect the Team will look at the tape and see just how huge a difference that Haden has made, because of that I expect them to upgrade the other CB and the Safety positions.

This should have beeen done years ago , but praise the lord the cutting of JH indicates they finally see the light.

Bud did clarify in another interview that Harrison went to see Shazier, just wouldn't go along with the group of LB's.
Something is still not right with this whole situation.
I did see Harrison come out in pregame shirtless in honor of Shazier. Also he was running around pregame with the Dan Rooney flag.
I have a feeling more is got to come out on this.

Thanks for the non-answer. Is there anywhere I can look to see actual articles rather than just reading it on a message board? You know, like NFL.com vs. Jamesharrisonsucks.org?

Did Harrison totally go about showing his displeasure the wrong way? Yes
Do the players who feel they were disrespected by his actions have a right to speak publicly? Yes
Do I think Dupree went a little overboard? Probably.
Does Dupree need to STFU now and go show the organization and the fans how it's done? Obviously
