Wont change how I feel to find out anything really.. Pissed of is an understatement. He was released but the Steelers are not really given us alot to go on and reasons why. Pouncey indicated that he heard Harrison wanted out and asked to be released. Some of the players are upset including Haden, Mitchell and Dupree.. Rightfully so. He is a traitor in every sense of the word.

Dupree has find of gone off about it. Said Harrison would leave the stadium when inactive, didn’t mentor him or watt, would skip practices and meetings, and never visited Shazier. Also read earlier when Harrison would have rest days at practice it was because he refused to practice. Good riddance. The Steelers did everything they could to ride it his behavior but he forced their hand.

Also Harrison asked for his release 3 times. The more that comes out the worse he looks and the worse all you defending him look. Like Dupree said he signed with the Pats to spit in the Rooney’s faces.

this is a BS post, how are we looking worse? Not like we are in the Steeler facilities....new info comes forward, but fans look bad because they are not privy to inside information? Come on man.

Since this new stuff came out, I'm changing my opinion on the release of JH92. If he was a dick, then yes they should have cut him.

I'll let Spock finish up here

Ok you are right I should have worded it different. he is making the people that defended him look bad. Didn’t really mean it as a shot at anyone.

no worries, I never would have thought he would act that way. I guess the public persona and locker room persona are two different people.

in a positive light, I hope the tension in the locker room or lber meeting room is much lower anyway.

Yeah for real. No player really seems that worried about him. Just read all his work outs were pretty much staged to make it look like he was busting his ass. My question is did he not think him going to the Pats was going to bring this all out. Dude just killed his legacy in Pittsburgh for pride, 3 games, and 59k.

He'll just hide behind the "its a business" narrative. But the more that comes out, he looks pretty spiteful.

All I know is, if they meet again in the playoffs and JuJu hits him like he did Burfict, Pennsylvania will have the new, youngest governor in the country :lolol:

I don't know. heard that ILB on the PS was throwing a hissy fit. Demanding a release since they are playing Spence instead of him.

Yeah, how many people are going to be paying for his autograph in the future?

you would think those guys would think to themselves, "Well I better tighten up the holes in my game, so they don't pass me over next time". But what do I know...

If that was his behavior then he should be suspended by the team. Deactivated or what ever. I'm thinking caving to that behavior to get cut will only promote more of that behavior in the future. Make an example of anyone who wants to act like a ***** thinking that will get them what they want.

I would've been fine with suspending him. I'd imagine he would still have to be carried on the 53 man roster though?

I'd imagine the team was just at the end of their rope with his antics. They must have felt that the possibility of him going to the Pats was less problematic than if he remained on the team.
According to the reports he was asking for a release after the first game. That's pretty bad.

I just hope it was worth it for the Steelers, and we don't have a repeat of Blount on our hands.. Yeah, he was stuck behind younger guys here.. But, in granting him his wish and cutting him, did we make our toughest opponent stronger? They obviously felt they were weak enough at the position to sign Harrison in the first place.

Well like what was pointed out in this thread we as fan were not aware of locker room stuff. With that said I have been on here not sticking up so much for JH but for the fact that we could still use him and he can still play. Most of the people here are saying he is 39 and is washed up, I am not saying that. Obviously JH don't feel that way either and this has lead to what has happened now.

It is a shame what has happened, I really feel both parties are at blame. I would love to know what was JH told his playing time would be this season. I am pretty sure both side will be slinging mud so we are going to hear a lot of things that we all aren't going to like.

My question to all the people that feel the opposite of me and the others sticking up for JH. What if JH goes out the next game or two and shows he can still play? If JH could/can still play imo he should still be here. Him not playing has been the root of all this problem and if he shows he has play left in him I can see why he was so bitter......jmo.

He said he was told 25% of the snaps. He's asked to be released after the first game of the season ( his own words) think about that, the first game of the season and he's already bitching. Tomlin was probably like **** him.
Can play, can he not play? Who knows. One thing you can't do is be a problem in the locker room like he was.

I agree, but isn't it awful funny we never heard any of this until now? I am not buying the problem in the locker room all season. That is stuff you can't hide and I am not taking JH side on this either.

NE’s defensive scheme and ours aren’t the same. If he’s still got edge-rush skills but PIT requires more...then he’s not seeing the field on our defense. We’re going to rush him and drop Hargrave into coverage? I saw that once, and I’m still having dry heaves.

I understand that and people keep pointing the coverage thing out......I have said from day one JH can't cover anymore. I am talking about JH rushing the passer in certain times, which we have players that do that. As for Hargrave in coverage haven't we seen that before.......

I don’t think he can cover, either. I’m saying our defense only rarely seems to try to get to the QB from Harrison’s position. Even if we do rush from that spot, having Harrison in there telegraphs the coverage in that area, since the entire stadium will know he’s not covering (or not effectively, anyway).

Put him in a scheme where he’s not expected to do anything other than pass-rush, though, ...

Correct but isn't that what we are doing now with SS, Fort and Moats? Also this is jmo but with the loss of RS wouldn't Watt be used more in coverage now than ever leading to the need of a guy to rush?

We should have cut him before week one. They should have told him you arent going to play unless there's an injury. If he wouldn't accept that, then cut him then. Cutting him now allowed all this BS to happen in the locker room. Clearly other players were bothered by it. Clearly he was a distraction. If they cut him in week 1 then who knows were he ends up but at least he's not a disruption.

Since they made the decision to keep him they should have used him some. If he would have felt like part of the team then maybe it doesn't get to this. To me there's 2 options... cut him or use him. option #3 of let him rot on the bench and become a huge distraction till a week before the playoffs...then cut him so he can sign with another playoff team looking to get an edge on us, PROBABLY should have never been considered. Call me crazy.
