I get it but punish him for that by making him stay on the team. This is Blount all over again and look at the way he was punished.

Jamaal Charles is complaining he wants released, you think the Broncos are going to do him a favor?

I don’t trust that he would keep the game plans in the playoffs to himself. Best he’s gone.

Yes I played for a very long time and even in high school our audibles changed every week. He really isn’t an improvement though. 5 sacks in 600 snaps tells you all you need to know and he is even slower this year. One scout even said he’s not sure if Harrison will see the field in NE either because of how slow he is. I don’t care if you can push a house you can’t hit what you can’t catch and I doubt Harrison could catch the slowest offensive skill position player in the league. By he sounds of what’s coming out of the locker room other than lifting he’s pretty fricking lazy.

Looks like we got a troll on this forum! ThePatriotWay! How's it going? What forum do you hail from? Do you enjoy looking up other teams you will be potentially cheering for in 5 years?

Broncos are not going to the playoffs either. If JH really was becoming a problem behind closed doors, cutting ties with him was the best way to go. They cut 40 year old James Harrison, not the one that ran a 100 yard Int for a TD.

Bud Dupree on Harrison giving out secrets.

Dupree “I don’t know how many secrets about the playbook Harrison could give to (the Patriots) because I never saw him in meetings.

Now he's being used as a Puppet by Belicheck to try and gain some mental advantage over the Steelers.

The more I read about this the more I don't understand how they let this go on as long as they did.

The way this is blowing up you know that the league is definitely going to "try" and "root" for a PGH Vs. NE rematch even more so than they already will.

I think the video with him running his mouth over being on the sidelines, the comments he's made recently in the press about how he wouldn't have re-signed with the Steelers and the comments coming from some of his teammates validates the decision to release him. As impressive as they were, I was kind of getting tired of his "look at me" feats of strength all over social media. Wow, James. You're a strong dude. That's great.

Hes James Harrison. Were probably hoping he'd adjust to it.

Sounds like just the opposite. Malcontent.

I am not suggesting any of that all I am saying is Harrison still has pass rush ability left therefore had value to us. Guys need breaks and with Watt's coverage ability and the hole left by RS I feel JH could of been used as a pass rusher. We are currently playing guys (SS & Moats) who are one thing players. To cut JH now was a mistake we may regret in a few weeks. IMO all this could have been avoided if JH was given a hat cause he still had value.

The more I hear about Harrison being a malcontent and pushing his way out, the less I like the fact that they cut him. I was taking the Steelers at their word that they felt it was best for the team. If they really just gave in to Harrison's wishes, then this really is like the Blount thing after all.

Not exactly, because Harrison really had no role left on this team while losing Blount that year actually hurt the team and Blount also had a hell of a lot more left in the tank, but letting the player force his way out is bad business.

I would normally agree with you on not giving in but in this case I’m ok with it. They set the precedent that if you have value to them then don’t bother because it’s not going to work with keeping Bryant and cutting Harrison. So pretty much if you ask for your release and they give it you that means you had zero value to them.

I do not condone Harrison's current behavior, but I am not going throw out the baby with the bath water because of this play.

Thats not the same guy ,that Harrison is gone ,remembered ,YES,but long gone ..
The main thing that gets to me is not ever visiting Ryan ,you just don't do that ,you don't "NOT" visit a fellow teammate in the hospital ,IDK or care about whats going on in the locker room ,this is about a guys life, his life, you visit that guy no matter what..

I posted this way before all of this other news came out. It's disrespectful that he slept during meetings and did all that other sh*t. Quite childish actually. But I still don't think it destroyed his Steeler legacy, put a dent in it? Yes. I still thank 92 for everything he has done in the black and gold. But hope we kick his ass if we meet him in the AFC Championship.
