This isn't like past players leaving for a year then retiring with the Steelers. He joined our biggest rival a week before the playoffs for 59k. This isn't about money and providing for family. This is a big F you to the Steelers and fans.

The same guy that retired 4 years ago wants to play 2-3 games that bad? Steelers have been giving him checks and a chance to play for 4 years. I never realized how selfish he was. He was a big part of this team whether he was on the field or not and would get a ring if we got one.

I hope the Steelers never extend their hand to him after all this and the fans don't embrace him. He made his bed when he got in it with cheaters. Going to be hilarious when they cut him after 2-3 games or if they cut him after this last regular season game, get the info they want, and cut him.

    Would you welcome him back?

If he gets a ring he is retiring...no need to worry about him coming back.

He's getting cut after this season Super Bowl or not. I mean welcome back to the city to live, around the team, coaching job, signings, Super Bowl anniversaries, etc. He should be dead to the organization.

Welcome him back in what capacity? As a player? No, he's old and is no good to us anymore.
Would I give him a standing ovation if he was brought out before a game as a former player? Yes, I would. He is a huge reason we had the success we did and nothing he does now can take that away.

He clearly wanted to keep playing and that wasn't going to happen in Pittsburgh. He also obviously wanted a chance to play for another SB. Perhaps the Pats were the only team that came calling or perhaps they were his first preference. Either way, the team showed no loyalty when they cut him and he showed no loyalty when he signed with the Pats. As I say all the time, there's no loyalty in sports. Those days are long gone.

JH did what was best for him. Was he supposed to do what is best for a team that cut him?

    Time heals all wounds.

Personally I think all of the panic going around that he can give insider info to Bellicheck is crapola. BB doesn't need Harrison to tell him how to beat the Steelers. 16-17 weeks of film will tell BB everything he wants to know. It's more psychiatric warfare than anything else. The Patsies had to waive someone in order to sign him right? ... why don't we sign that guy if getting inside information is that big? Maybe we can find out how julian edleman likes to take it from brady

Oh idk,I couldn't care less where he lives, but I doubt he will be wanting to live in Pittsburgh or even PA..that's suicide.

If he wins the sb steelers fans will hold grudge,if he does not, it will all be forgotten .

Agree, if we were worried, then go sign the LB the cheats cut to make room for him.

I agree that he has burned all the bridges leading into the city. It’s going to be interesting to see if he makes it into the Hall of Honor. With the way the fans have reacted I bet it’s a good while before he goes into it.

IMHO, this stuff is happening very quickly, with things moving much faster than the speed in which information flows to us.

Something tells me we still don't know the backstory, and something tells me that there IS a backstory.

I'm not ready to erase the SB INT TD from my memory anytime soon. These players come and go so often in this league anymore it doesn't even surprise me. Big Ben might go to the Clowns some day. Not going to hate him for it. Would be disappointed but big deal. JMHO.

The same kinds of things were said when Franco went to Seattle, Kevin Greene went somewhere else, Rod Woodson went somewhere else, "He whose name shall not be mentioned" went to the Jets...................okay, this last one sticks!

They pretty much showed in on FS1 today, he uploaded an Instagram video of himself shirtless throwing dumbbells in the weight room screaming “they wanna bench this?” That likely did it.

I agree, but the best medicine would be for the Steelers to win the SB, and he tarnished his reputation (to some) for nothing other than a few game checks.

Id welcome back with open arms as strength and conditioning coach. Or as a LB coach if he has that ability.

Give him a standing O if its just a day to honor him.

Oh I bet it likely was, this isn’t the organization to do that stuff with. It was probably the icing on a cake that has baked for months

Rod Woodson didn't go "somewhere else". He went to play with the Ravens, as well as Carnell Lake...

Lol, he's an oversized, overdeveloped, overly strong maniac psycho who's hopped up on PEDs. Who is going to do what to him? And as much as I think humanity stinks, I don't believe that there's one person in Pittsburgh who is so depraved that they would do anything stupid.

His wife is from here. She's a high profile attorney downtown. He's got business interests in the area. He's originally from Akron, not far from here. He'll be back here in 6 weeks one way or the other to the place he calls home. And when its all over for good, that's where he'll be for a long time.

THe Steelers did not want him anymore, he still wants to play football and can, he still has an opportunity to play football elsewhere so he signs with another team. He can still earn money for himself and his family playing football so why hold a grudge against him for that. New England probably was the only team to come calling and he jumped at the chance. Besides don't think Bellicheat can get much from him to make much of a difference when they play against us. We know him and how he plays so we can plan for that.
