No, that's not a typo. Team MVP is a race between one of the Killer Bs but who is our team MDP (Most Disappointing Player). There are a few to choose from but for me, it has to be Bud Dupree. He came on strong at the end of last season and I was hoping he'd carry that over into this season. Unfortunately, Dud, er, I mean Bud has not been able to do that.

Vote now and explain/justify your vote with a brief comment.

Between Burns, Davis, and Dupree having some bad games.....I don’t know.

If they have bad games collectively, oh my!

Tuitt, he was just signed to a new contract and the run weakness seems to be to his side. He hasn’t taken over games with his size and power.

:lolol:I actually started to list him but since he's now a Cheatriot, I left him off the list. I understand your vote though.

I voted Dupree. He's a 1st round player. His rookie deal is coming up soon, and he is not performing. 6 sacks is not enough. He's performed badly against the run.
Mike Hilton has 4 for goodness sake, and he's playing slot corner.

He's a lot better Jarvis Jones ever thought of being but, he's far off from the Steelers pass rushers of years ago.

Bud has the same number as TJ. Keep in mind that both TJ and Bud have been forced into coverage situations way more than the team has ever done, hence the demize of #92. Tuitt only has 3 and just got his big second contract. Cam has 12 on the other side. I like Tuitt, but has to step it up.

    Wow!
Looking at all this, the Defense could use a rebuild.
Or a couple of players getting smacked, Wake Up!

Until stated otherwise, Tuitt has not looked the same since the mid 2016 season.

He is not getting much penetration in the backfield and the amount of pressures he is getting is fewer than last season. Ironically, the only time he came close to obtaining nearly 7 sacks was in 2015. Add the fact that Heyward regularly commands double teams and you have quite the conundrum with Tuitt.

Once again, until otherwise, "Do It Tuitt" has not lived up to his name.

I agree, but so has Bud, he missed a lot of the Pre-season with a shoulder, I think he missed a RS game as well. I guess i sort of expected Tuitt to really step up this year and become a pro bowl type end that plays he’ll on QBs. He has size and speed but doesn’t seem to get any push. To be honest, Alualu has played the position better. Dupree and Watt have been put in a position (coverage) that will not give them a lot of stats. I feel like our run defense woes are coming from Tuitt. Dupree’s job is to set the edge, and the runs seem to go inside off tackle.

Dupree for me. Disappointing because I had higher expectations going into year 3. The other players listed are about where I expected them to be (more or less). I still hope Dupree can be better, especially in his pass rush.

I went with Eli Rogers.... went from 48 receptions down to 17..... when our offense has been struggling to find weapons to help free up AB much of the season.

All the more reason Bud receives a pass from me. Yes, he is not in double digit sack territory but, as I have stated and you have read I am sure, the glory days of "Steelers Linebackers" are over.

Our linebackers have to be complete. Be it from defending the run or defending the pass and rushing the passer, all of these qualities are now pre-requisites for our linebacking corps.

Statistically, Watt & Dupree are interchangeable..... but Watt is seen as having more of an impact.

Another disappointment could be the QB. We have pulled games out this year but he has thrown way more interceptions than anyone could have ever imagined. Our red-zone offense has suffered as well. The first several games, including the debacle in Chicago was the result of miss connections with receivers. He has cleaned it up a lot but I think he is the reason some of the games have been closer than expected or losses. “JACKSONVILLE GAME”
