didn't Harrison sign a 2 year contract...what happened to that on the Steelers' end of the deal? they cut him loose before the contract was half over. it's okay for the team to do what they felt was best for the team but Harrison can't do what he feels is best for him?

Let’s suppose he only rides the bench. He is still going to collect a game check, playoff check(s) and has the chance to potentially win a Super Bowl. Is there one of you who wouldn’t sign up for this?

It takes 3 to replace shazier and they cant do it. Thats apples and oranges. We will see. If ben holds the ball for 6 sec and runs to james side, he will get a sack

If James is on the field, just have Bell go that way on pass routes. Ben to Bell will have a field day.

Predictably, Tomlin's response when he gets asked the question will be "we only worry about the men on our roster."

I can under stand he wants to piss of the Coaching staff and ownership for releasing him, but Deebo has been a fan favorite for many years who have supported him through thick and thin i say thanks James hope it's worth it.

I think I would be more concerned with my legacy, coming back to the stadium decades later and being honored and adored by the fans.

Wasn't an issue for Franco, so maybe it won't be for JH. But Hines and Troy could have gone to another team, so they will be held in higher regard.

You know, maybe we're thinking about this all wrong.
Maybe this is all a ruse by the front office. Let James say that he's disgruntled with playing time, and then have the team cut him. He signs with the Patriots just to sabotage the team from the inside. Look for James to commit some dumb penalties at critical moments to sustain drives.

James would still get a SB ring even if he;s no longer on the team.

Man oh man, if this doesn't make them change the defensive signals...

It's the same thing when the taping came out. All the coaches said they were not changing signals, and the ones that did change seemed to have an advantage early in games against them.

Tomlin was a non signal changer.

To be clear, I don't blame James Harrison at all. He wants to play. He wants a chance at another ring. Rightly or wrongly, the Steelers cut him after leaving him rot on the bench. If the Patriots come calling, you pick up the phone. Period.

I'm angry with the whole sequence of events. EVERYONE saw this coming. And they let it happen anyway.

I would rather have seen him released in pre-season if they truly thought he didn't have it anymore.

    LMAO!

That would be a slap in the face wouldn't it!?

Give him one of the replicas the supporting staff gets with a note.

When deebo first left to join the bungles he had an actual career left however short it was. Troy was done... More so than Hines. Both could've went elsewhere for sure, but Hines is the only one who had a shot of consistently playing well.

Harrison is done for the most part. Sure he could have a couple splash plays left in him as could've Troy. Difference is his plays could come at crucial moments if it comes to a matchup with the pats. Troy wouldve endured the same damn dismal season James did to get that opportunity elsewhere as well.

    IT SUCKS!!!! But it's life.

It'll never happen. Only in some movie. But in my perfect fantasy world, on the first day of practice, Harrison comes off the corner and destroys Brady's knee. Gets up. Looks right at Bellicheat, and says, "Oh, by the way... I'm retired."

    I never denied being twisted...

The penalty wouldn't be called. He'll be wearing a Patriots* uniform, remember?

The post acknowledges he was signed for his knowledge of the Steelers, and yet we're supposed to welcome him back with open arms as he retires?

Benedict Arnold retired with full benefits and military honors too...

First I appreciate what James brought to the Steelers. He is a Steeler's icon...

But, I feel he was brought back this season due to the drafting of TJ Watt. Not only to mentor but if Watt fell on his face like Jarvis Jones a large percent of his career he could step in. Watt has exceled to the point that James was expendable. Besides the KC game name me some other plays? It was over. NFL is a business, on both sides.

So he signed with the cheats. So what. He has done little to nothing this season. Guess belicheat feels he will seal the edge. He sure can't cover.

It was a prick move but he is free to sign anywhere he wants. Their is no love.

Time to move on, as the Steelers did.

I don't think Harrison will see the field a lot but the Pats are short on LB help. Based on the way this played out, I am guessing it was a, "play me or let me go" kind of deal.

I hope he never gets that one day contract. You can't go to NE then expect love when you comeback. If he has nothing to give then why sign with them? He's only spiting us so **** him.
