So u didnt see him when he was on the field? Not gonna argue with u cause i seen it for myself. He is a liability in coverage. He just cant do it. Todays nfl u have to do both. If he is in there they will audible to a play in the flat all day

It’s a brilliant move! Quite Machiavellian! Release a long time great, arch rival signs him, he gives the wrong info to generalissimo Bellychuck!

He still was our best linebacker against the run and could hold his own on those run sweeps where we are so weak at.

So in todays NFL you have to do both......ok why are we using 3 guys to replace Shazier? Everyone keeps talking how SS is better in coverage and Moats and Fort play the run(insert joke there), JH could still rush the passer nobody is talking about coverage everyone admits he sucks at it. Why is it good to have some guys do one thing but not JH??? We will see in the next few weeks who is right cause you can bet your bottom dollar if JH can rus the passer BB will find a way for him to do that.

Why? I don't see you and others saving the complaints right now. The Steelers needed a roster spot and they cut a player who wasn't getting any time on the field. If you weren't so caught up in what he used to be, you'd be laughing at the Patriots right now.

Also, let's be clear. Those calling Harrison a traitor are way off base. The Steelers cut him. He felt he could still play. He got the opportunity to play for the Super Bowl favorites and jumped at it. Does the picture with Brady come off a bit like trolling? Sure, but I don't blame him one bit. He did the right thing in his situation and he doesn't deserve the criticism he is getting for it.

How do you figure, the guy wanted nothing more than to play and Tomlin wanted no part in putting him out there. Shame om Mikey and shame on the organization!!!!!!

I just hope James didn't mess up his legacy with the Rhein Fire. I'm sure there are a lot of disappointed fans in Dusseldorf today....

Whatever the reasons, I’m fairly sure that Tomlin and Colbert knew the chances of JH signing with NE, given relative roster needs. Evidently they thought the pay off was still worth it.

I just can't for the life of me understand why they released him. I get that he can't cover, but why wasn't he used as a pass rush specialist like Freeney has been used the last several years. There wasn't a better option to release?

Damn this is frustrating and a distraction the team doesn't need.

I love how people on here are condemning others for being pissed, yet Steelers’ players are equally as mad and feel just as betrayed. It’s a horrible ass move from Harrison — no debate.

Well we will not get to see who was right, we all can sit here and say he is done or no he isn't but the bottom line is let's see him play and let the proof be in the pudding....

As for the Traitor thing I am not on that bandwagon. The Steelers cut him loose he didn't choose to leave here. I don't blame him at all I don't like it at all but don't blame him.

Wouldn't it be something if James was the football equivalent of a red herring. I know I'm way out in left field with this but I'm telling myself what ever I have too.

Haha good point. No actual debate. At least, not in my eyes.

I think it’s completely OK to be mad and it’s completely OK to call the guy a traitor about this. But I also think he did a lot for the franchise and that has to be respected. He just committed one of the biggest no-nos.

Yeah besides there isn't any loyalty in the NFL any more those days are gone. It's about the business side of it. What' done is done time to move forward.
