They are using him as A psychological advantage and a knowledge source. He does practice against the O line and knows all the defensive and offensive play calls. Bill Belichick don't even have to set up a camera to get the info he wants.
He's being used as a pawn if he signs. I really like James but as usual in my opinion this was not the time to cut him. Bill Belichick knows he's heading into a buzz saw if we meet again and is looking for any edge he can.
