Again, I ask you based on what? What facts? HE HASNT PLAYED THIS SEASON!

I guess you sit in on practices and see something different from the coaches.

Your post is totally emotionally driven.

As far as Big Dan, you're out of your mind if you think they'd leave themselves that thin at the position, no matter how useless you think he is.

The guy is 40 and hasnt played this year. Should tell you something.

Nope not gonna do it not gonna back away from the ledge.....of course that would imply I was at the ledge which I am not and not what I was saying. I never said I want him here for coverage have you been reading? I will say this I hope to god we don't have to find out but man if he was ever to go to the Pat's(i am not worried about the Ravens) you bet your butt he will want to get to Ben and that is the way they will use him. He still has situational pass rush skills available and THAT is what I wanted to keep him here for......

Come on Blast that is total BS and your better that that. That statement about me sitting in on practice is crap, everything we all talk about here is all opinion. Nobody sits in on practice so nobody can talk about their opinion....I guess I missed what a message board is for. Damn dude you are starting to sound like another poster who thinks this is all fact based, wtf??

I am not emotional I am basing my OPINION on the fact that JH has kept his body in tip top shape and the fact that when he was in there the little bit that he was in there he spent more time in the other teams backfield then our backfield. What I am saying is JH offers us something most bench guys don't. You think Big Dan can come in and hold his own, I don't but if JH comes in I feel he could get a sack on any play.

As for Big Dan, we run such a mix on D we wouldn't be lfet thin. Heck Hargraves only played 32% of the snaps, Alualu and Heyward play there how are we thin. Dan wasn't even active how is that being thin? Walton, Alualu, Hargrave, Tuitt and Hayward all got time on the dline we are far from thin. jmo

If they wanted JH they could have picked him up on the waiver wire a few days ago, he is a free agent now but does he want to play somewhere for just 2 or 3 games and be released again, I doubt it........

Opinions are great, but you gotta sprinkle in some facts if you want others to buy into it.

I thought Harrison still could make a difference. The team apparently feels different. I don't like it, but I really have nothing to argue against the move.
I remember when Hines was let go. Your posts on Harrison sounds almost identical to mine on Hines.
I couldn't believe it or admit it then, but I was just pissed and emotional that they let Hines go.

I'm old enough to remember Franco bolting for Seattle. Harrison will always be a Steeler. Relax.

True and I get where your coming from but let me turn the table on you guys, show me the facts that JH is done, all I keep hearing is he is 40. Show me the facts that he offers nothing, show me the facts that we are a better team with SS, Moats, Fort, Dan etc......cause yesterday we gave up 176 yds on the ground so these guys aren't doing their jobs right? I can remember it was a national holiday when someone rushed for 100 yards vs us, no? I know JH don't play ILB but my point is JH offers more at OLB in situational play than the combo of SS, Moats and Fort therefore I feel we are better with JH. SS is our cover guy so he goes no where but imo we don't need to sprinkle in 2 more guys to fill this gap. JMO

I want to start this post by saying I too am shocked that the Steelers would do this to one of their team ICONS. However, if you follow social media and follow Deebo on instagram and stuff, you will see he was starting to get more vocal about not playing and the amount of playing time he has not received. Perhaps the Steelers removed the cancer before it had a chance to affect the team? I dont know but it seems too coincidental to me to see Harrison complaining of playing time one week and on the street the next. Just something to consider as we lament the release of one of our favorites.

I don't think Harrison is completely done, but it appears the coaching staff feels the other guys are better suited for what our defense is trying to do.
Problem is the amount of playing time he got this year really wasn't enough to determine if he was done or not. That leads us back to practice. He must be getting outplayed?
Who knows he might get signed back?

That's fine. I would have been ok with keeping him and I'd be ok with bringing him back. I just don't think he is anything worth worrying about at this point of his career. At best he can give some situational pass rushing and he should still be able to hold the edge versus the run. But he would be a huge liability in coverage and I'd expect a team like the Patriots to abuse the hell out of him if he got significant playing time against them. It sucks it has come to this but every player reaches the end eventually and I think Harrison is there.

Agreed but then again that brings us to the timing of this move, week 16. I think you and I are on the same page just I am being more vocal about it. If this was week 1 I would be bummed but I would get it.......jmo.

FWIW James Harrisoon is in Foxboro right now meeting with the Patriots per WBZTV (Boston) and ESPN's Field Yates verified Twitter.

I will absolutely rage if he signs with the Patriots. Like, I know we released him, but that’s just unforgivable.

There is little doubt he'll sign today. The only hold up would be not passing a physical, they need DL/OLB help and he would provide that, money won't be an issue. . Why else would he go there today? He has to sign today in order to practice the rest of the week to be ready for Sunday. He isn't doing a visit tour of teams then making a decision. Any team who signs him would want him to play Sunday to get reps in their system and start getting into their system.

Who didn't see this coming, honestly? as soon as i heard he was cut, i instantly knew he'd end up with the Patriots. they sign literally every big name that gets cut, good or bad.
