I think i’d be fine with the Rats or Cheats to pick up a 40 year old linebacker who can’t drop into pass coverage. I think Ben and Co. could easily take advantage of that.

Didn't playing a season for the Bengals hurt his "Steelers Legacy", or am I missing the sarcasm here?

He already said that he's playing somewhere else next season. He's not worried about his Steeler legacy. What has his legacy done for him? It never signed a paycheck. And it inexplicably couldn't get him on the field for more than a handful of snaps in likely his last season here.

He'd be stupid not to sign with a contender and actually play some meaningful football. After the way he's been treated, screw his "Steeler Legacy". He deserves to work on HIS legacy.

He couldn't care less about his legacy, his legacy now is to find a team and Stick it to the Steelers for releasing him.....

Deangelo Williams said the same thing. Just because he wants to or says he will, doesn't mean it's going to happen. Harrison was released by the bengals 3 years ago and can barely make the active roster now. It's doubtful anyone comes calling.

I was surprised there wasn't a thread on this before the games started yesterday. I saw this on the nfl channel where the Ravens and Pats were interested.

Yes, Colbert and Tomlin have frequently stated these decisions are made jointly.

While I could see Harrison might have some value to Balt or NE in that he has knowledge of the Steelers D and strategy, and this might be useful for either in playoff game. I really can't see anyone offering him more than a chance to come to 2018 training camp to compete for a roster spot. He's done very little this year. He's 40, can't cover recievers, can't play special teams, there's very little upside. Set aside the emotion for a guy who was once a great player, he's not going to be that anymore.

That is the most overblown thought. They know everything about us just like we know them. Let them have him. I promise we will be isolating him into coverage or throw tosses right at him. He is simply too slow.

First of all, JH92 said he would come out of retirement for the Steelers only, since that were his sons' wishes IIRC. He's not playing anywhere else this season imo. He's not dragging up to go to a new city for a couple weeks. As for next year, no teams were calling him 2 years ago, don't think his expectations for '18 are realistic.

Secondly, if I am wrong and he goes somewhere I just don't see JH92 going up to the other team's blackboard and giving them all the dirt on the Steelers. He would probably tell his agent to put that disclaimer in when they want to make an offer. Yea, I'll play but I'm not being signed just to be a turncoat.

After spending way too much time looking for a report on this the only thing I've found is an opinion piece. I'm guessing someone doesn't know the difference between news and an op ed and it snowballed from there.

I hope he doesn’t go to another team but if he does and he helps a team beat us in the playoffs there will be hell to pay for Tomlin and Colbert.

If I would see Harrison in a patriot uniform I may stop following sports.

Nope that was before he became the Steeler sack leader and came out of retirement to same our sorry ass LB'er core when we needed him more than he needed to play football.

Like you say he is 40, he is not going to be a pro bowler but he sure the heck can still rush the passer. Put him on the Pats and see what happens, first off he will straight up eat both our OT's for breakfest and second all them hold calls that they never called when playing for us.....will be called all day!

Not sure why everyone is so worried about pass coverage we have guys that can do that Watt, VW and the great Sean Spence. Let JH do what he does best on passing downs and sack the QB, and if people think he can't your wrong......

Some of y'all are putting way too much stock in that one sack he had against the Chiefs.

My only question is how many times has Goodell drug tested him since his release?

I assume he's involved, but some fans act like he makes the decisions on his own that's my point.
