You just don’t release him so that your competition can’t pick him up.
    Did that come out right?
    Give your competition nothing!

Not only will they pick him up but they will pick his brain for info that he has been involved with for years. We all know how Belicheat works.

Good point, you are probably right. I just hate they way the Patriots do business, I will defiantly give JH the respect he deserves.

I see Harrison coming back after tomorrow. I think this was done to make room for people they may need for the game against the Texans. They signed Stevan Ridley and Justin Hunter. I think they were insurance policies until AB is back. I think Hunter gets released, but I may be wrong. You won't release Brown just to get Hunter because that is way too risky. You have to have Gilbert in the starting lineup if he can play, so you release what you can afford. Harrison cannot go to IR or the practice squad. You won't put Brown on IR because you lose him the rest of the season. Brown can't go to Practice squad because he has too many years on active roster. You need Hunter for Brown until he is healthy so releasing Harrison is it. Hunter gets released when Brown is healthy and then Harrison replaces Hunter.

They better hope James comes back instead of going to the ratbirds or cheatriots. Steeler Nation will explode with anger if that happens.

Should’ve sent Dobbs to practice squad. Hard to see another team taking a 4th round 3rd string QB with no experience for one game.

It wouldn't have been for just one game. Half of the league doesn't have an adequate 1st string QB, no chance at playoffs this year, and no drawback to stealing a developmental QB for next season. (Once he goes on their roster, he is on that team.)

Agree with next year, but I don’t see Dobbs, at this point, being better than half of the league’s starting QB’s

My only question is does he have to sign off on it? Then he won't do it but if he has no control then it's a stupid decision.

He doesn't have to better than half the starting QBs now, just the possibility (however remote) of him reaching that point with a year or two of development. Half the league is making do with what they got, and are desperately looking for something that has any chance of being better. (They can afford to take that sort of a risk, because they have already lost this year.)

Some people are still upset that the Steelers "wasted" a 6th round pick on a LS that they cut. You shouldn't be so quick to dismiss a team grabbing a "free" 4th rounder for next preseason.

Would have preferred McCullers going, but both aren't getting any play time and I can see at least pretending you want to rotate your D-line. he's got 11 snaps on the year and one tackle.

Isn't this the same deal as Haden? He is a vested veteran doesn't have to clear waviers and can sign with who ever he chooses?
