Can we talk about Tomlin for a minute?

I’ve had my fair share of thoughts on him over the years. Such as being incompetent in certain situations, making questionable decisions, and sometimes even not holding players accountable...

BUT I have to give him a huge amount of credit. He has grown as a coach astronomically over the last few years. He always has a great response to the media, he gives the team a chance to win against any opponent, at any time, and he also has a huge impact on players and making them believe in themselves.

This past weekend, I’m completely sold that I want him to stay HC for as long as possible. There’s no way we can replace his talents. He is really starting to shape up as an amazing coach.

He's not perfect, but he's a damn good coach and he's ours. I really only have one complaint about our front office/ coaching staff and that's the scouting department. They just don't seem to be as good as they used to be. We still find a diamond in the rough here and there, but too many whiffs on early draft picks.
However, I'm not totally sold on the scouting department being the sole culprit. I believe AR2 has his hand in the pile more now and that could be causing some problems. For example I don't believe our scouting department was responsible for Jarvis Jones. I have no proof, but believe that was an AR2 pick.

It was tough time to be a Steelers fan that’s for sure. Not looking forward to the years after Ben.

Are you seriously comparing Terry Bradshaw to Ben?

I think BB is a true definition of a system qb, and I am sure pitt will win many more sbs after he retires....maybe more than what BB won for them ....

Am I missing a joke here or does Brady just not know what he is talking about?

The team has changed head coaches and offensive coordinators during Roethlisberger's time. They have changed offensive styles. They've gone from a running team to a great line to a passing team with shaky protection and back again. They have literally changed everything but the general manager and the family that owns the team over the span of his career.

There are things to criticize about Roethlisberger, but suggesting he is just a system quarteback shows a lack of understanding of the term and his career.

Brady is a system QB!!! A sandlot tough as nails QB who has had a few systematic changes in his career that doesn't start his period whenever there is "pressure"... Ben is Hardly system... Hell the system hasn't been consistent enough to be called a flipping system hahahahaha

True ,brady is a system qb, their system is huge OL to block for him giving him plenty of time in the pocket to find his recivers, that's why the only way to beat brady is to knock him down. .

Steelers system is Defense Defense Defense ...you think of pitt steelers you don't think high flying offense ,you think steel curtain...

I quit thinking of steel curtain D ages ago. That's reserved for them and them alone. Later down the road was blitzburgh... Again that term is there's and theirs alone. Nowadays its a multi talented O and an up and coming D! Good enough to seal the deal, if them and the staff want too.

Everytime they talk about the Steelers they talk dick lebeau and his D...the defense gets all the credit for everything Steelers do, yeah every once in a while BB throws for 300 yrds ......

I am not talking about nicknames, I am talking about steelers have always been about smash mouth defense, yes of course every team needs a qb too..

I just don't believe BB has played well enough to somehow think Steelers culture is changing because of Ben at the helm..

Maybe you forgot the green font. Why, exactly, does the Steelers culture need to change?

Yeah talking heads drudge up history and what was at one point. Obviously you haven't been historically a fan because you'd know the Ben era has changed culturally, the NFL has changed etc...

Ben is a walk in backwards 1st ballot HOF'er despite my own yrlling at his ass personally over the years.

I have no idea what your point is, but I am drinking so it's either making me come off as an idiot or helping me with your rhetoric.

    Sofa, Couch. Tomato, Tomoto..

I only wish he'd turn into a sofa and then someone can buy it and send it to Russia. Never see him again.
