Barring a setback, Joe Haden to start against Houston

If this has been posted already, I apologize -- but it's HUGE news for the defense.

I think I'd hold him one more week for caution, but hey, if he's ready!

 

Good news. If he's ready to go, I'd say get him some reps for the next two weeks before the playoffs start.

 

Exactly. If he is cleared medically, he needs the game snaps to get back up to speed. They also need the defensive help. The offense is going to be limited by the absence of Brown.

 

Be very good to get him some reps in before playoffs start.

But, giving Cam Sutton some playing time wouldn't hurt.


I just worry about Joe rushing back, that guy really deserves to play in a playoff game.

 

I'm sure Sutton will play some as well. The goal all along was to play him in the slot. Maybe he can play there, though it would have to be in place of Gay, not Hilton, obviously.

 

rotate Sutton and haden. Let haden play like 25% of the snaps, then 50 vs browns. Heal up and boom welcome to your first playoff game!

 

Agree need to keep Sutton playing some, even when Hayden plays. Mostly for Gay and please not for Hilton.
