Not even going into the 2nd and 23 handoff to the (at best) 3rd string undersized RB.

What were they doing during the video review of the JJ TD?!

They were given free several minutes to make up their minds about the next 2-3 plays and have everyone on the same page if they didn't work!

They throw that garbage to HeyBey and he doesn't get OOB, everyone should have gotten right back in for a called play that they already knew was coming!

It's not rocket science, but apparently, the only team that knows how to do this is the Patriots!

I agree that it was just poor play calling and mismanaged. The fake clocking was horrible as well because we have way too many weapons to rush a crap play in when they could have spiked it and got personnel together for a legitimate play. I'm sure they were as letdown on the field as we were at home by thinking you had the game sealed and that played into it but that play selection did not utilize the talent on the roster.

Agreed on the poor game management. But that's nothing new.

However, a spike only leaves one legitimate play - a FG attempt - it was already 3rd down.

Lack of a plan after a nearly 5 minute review wait is all on the coaching staff. After the play was overturned it looked like a huge clusterf*ck out there.

So at a minimum play for the tie versus that garbage...whatever the hell that last play was. You are at home, lick your wounds with the FG and play to fight in OT. I agree with the other posts. Coaches have all that time to come up with Plan A and Plan B and that was the brilliant idea?? Damn...at least give your chance a shot in OT after the previous offensive and defensive blunders. Steeler coaching at its best!

It’s hard to say because the entire nation besides Al Riveron and patriot fans thought it was a Td.

It wasn’t even the fact that they ran on 2nd and 22 more than where the hell was Bell!

What bothers me the most, is if we stop the 2 point conversion then we only need a FG to win. Gronk made it look like taking candy from a baby. easy easy. THAT TICKED ME OFF MORE THAN ANY OTHER PLAY.........STILL MAD OVER IT!!!!

Heck it wasn't even that good of a throw, he picks it off and there is no one between him and the opposite goaline to stop the first advancing of a two pt conversion in Steelers history.

Maybe they were like the other 99.9% of us who knew it was a touchdown and it would be confirmed instead of overturned!?

It's looking like Haley dropped the ball on this one. If you watch inside the NFL on showtime tomlin tells Haley to have a play ready if they're tackled in bounds.

It's obvious they were all making their hotel reservations for friends and family for the Twin Cities the first weekend in February.

According to Tomlin, they spent most of their time coming up with a plan in case JJ was ruled down at the 1. WTF??? I thought that was the most unlikely scenario since he wasn't touched/. What a waste of time there. Boneheaded preparation as always.

It was Haley outcoaching himself as he tends to do from time to time. "They will never suspect us running it, especially with our 3rd string RB!"

Saving the down and going for a pass on 3rd down was absolutely the right call! Just terrible execution by both the coaching staff and Ben.

Yeah, just saw that. Sad really. It looks like not every guy on the field knew what the plan was. You got to give Ben another option there. If the 2 WR's on the left just step into the endzone then you don't have 3 on the one crosser!

When will other teams learn that you simply can NOT catch the Patriots napping on a play. You just end up looking silly. I'm looking at you Colts. Ours was more costly though.

I just didn't like the way they executed at that point in the game. The 2nd down play was pointless and failed to get the runner out of bounds to pickup what two yards? Might as well have run a play in the center of the field or go for the endzone again. Then they have to rush to set the ball and run that confused mess. Then on the interception that pay just looked like chaos. If you are the New York Jets then you pat the team on the back for trying. When you are a legitimate super bowl contender on paper and payroll, that was embarrassing.

I’m not the biggest Tomlin or Haley fan but the refs screwed them out of the timeout and then mislead them on Jesse James catch. The refs inserted themselves into this game, especially at the end WAY too much.

I think that was misdirect by Tomlin to blame the ref for calling a Time Out. It looked clear as day to me that Ben was calling a Time out to anyone who would look at him. Honestly, I think the TO was the right move to make anyway.
