Not according to an NFL rep speaking about the suspension. Vincent, I think it was, said it was only about the hit.

Rules don't apply to the Patriots. I thought we all knew this when the ref with the most penalties this year only got them for 2 for 4 yards.

Boy, I saw Grink make a catch in the first half, a defender right with him, saw Mitchell come flying in, and thought “if there was ever a time to dive at someone’s knees....”

If that's true then why would Iloka's suspension for the illegal hit to AB's head have been rescinded? No, the NFL made it clear it was only about the taunting.

Unless it's a Patriot doing the taunting of course.

I know but you said 'nothing happens to them', I was giving an example of something that happens to them.

It's a mystery why Iloka's suspension was rescinded, but Vincent did say that JuJus being upheld was not about the taunting aspect. But we all know what they say to the public is one thing and what they say/do behind closed doors is another.

    They follow the government...

    rule #1 - Deny everything
    rule #2 - deny rule #1 exists

Hey, I know it doesn’t make sense, but here’s the quote:

“Taunting was never considered, at least from our office,” Vincent said. “It was the act of hitting Vontaze Burfict in the head area. The taunting was not considered. Are we sending a mixed message? We’ve been very consistent, fair, firm.

Speaking of Juju's hit on Burfict, did anyone notice the celebration on Bryant's TD? Juju re-enacted the taunt with MB. I thought it was funny, but at the same time cringed a little - that's tempting fate there, I'm a little surprised they didn't announce a fine for him today for mocking another player, an illegal hit, and the NFL in general. Not saying they should, just sayin...

    Don't Watch Your Home Run

While pitchers interpret home run celebrations differently, one thing is usually for certain. If a guy thinks you’re showing him up, you’ll get an earful from him, and either you or one of your teammates will likely get plunked by a pitch. When 22-year veteran Bert Blyleven was asked how he’d react to a hitter admiring a home run, he said, "I guess you can ask Jose Canseco that question. He did it and I accidentally hit him in the chest area his next time up.”

The whole ending of the game was bull****. we all know that. they've benefited from every call or non-call, in every big game, since 2001. i've moved on from it though.

Hate him all we want, the guy is awesome and a problem that needs to get solved if they see them in the playoffs. Wish the guy in my avatar was still playing as he could counter him. Better yet a certain steel curtain player wearing #47 ;+)

How do you solve the problem of a guy who the rules don't apply to?
