Dazed and Confused?

Sort of like Ben was at the end of the game. I wish I would of taped the game so I could watch the ending again. I think there were around 5 minutes left, we have the ball and a 8 point lead. A couple of first downs probably wins the game. First play Toussant up the middle for a yard. Are you f'n kidding me.
Next two plays 3 yard completions, 3 and out punt. Whose bright idea was it to go conservative all of a sudden? To me this is where the game was lost.
JUJU makes great run. 2st.& goal from the ten with 28 seconds, no timeouts. Ben getting blitz.Instead of throwing the ball out of the endzone, he throws a crossing route that netted 3 yards and doesn't get out of bounds. Confusion and disarray. Instead of spiking the ball and kicking tying fg, Ben panics and throws into triple coverage. Am I missing something? Still sick about it.

 

First off we live and die with Ben, if we win it is cause of Ben and yeah you will have a play like Ben did at the end of the game.....but oh how we forget how well Ben played the rest of the game. Enough of the Ben talk from me....

You hit the nail on the head as to where we lost this game. 3 min to go and we can't get a first down after we just used the clock the previous drive for like 7 min to get 30 yards. I said it before the game we will have to win this game with offense and that let us down. Yes no AB it don't matter, we have a very good QB, a so call great oline, and #2 & 3 in Juju & MB that are better than any other combo and yeah Bell. This O needed to win this game and it did not.

The zone.....for the most part we went away from it but every time we went back to it Marsha made us pay! Last drive of the game you know Marsha is going to Gronk.....HOW IS HE NOT DOUBLE TEAMED??? Mitchel is worthless playing deep cause his feet are in cinder blocks and can't react!

Yeah we got screwed by the refs, no PI calls and yeah the stupid catch no catch crap, however I am not crying about that we had this game. The refs did not take it from us we lost it ourselves, yeah the refs gave no help but we still had this game.

Very hard loss to take and I am sure there are a ton of pissed off people here, I was so mad couldn't even get on here last night.

 

All very good points, they had 2 penalties for 4 yards in 4 quarters on Bryant’s one handed catch the DB had a hold of his other arm no flag

Oh and add to the fact Davis should have sealed the game with an INT.....we have us to blame for this loss just as much as anyone else! However I do feel this will give us some fire the next time we play them. We are by far the better team and I feel this game may be what it takes to start the run to #7

 

Question, was everyone still dazed over the overtirn of the td ... that they didn't see the hold on rogers that caused the int at the end of the game? One bad call ....trumped by a no call. And, this was a home game.

 

The NFL isn't "rigged," but there is a reason the rich continue to be rich. We DO get honestly get a lot of calls that are BS as do the Patriots. That being said, the Pats get an unGodly amount of horrible calls go there way. It's a joke.

 

Kinda like the hold on the MB TD when he made a great one handed catch??? Yeah plenty of that to go around but still 3 min to go we have the ball and the lead I would call that a win almost all the time and yet we fall apart......

He only had 67 yards I think, that's the least of their worries. I'm more concerned about covering Gronkowski.

 

It's becoming more and more apparent to me that Davis is NOT ready for prime time. Playmakers make plays on the biggest stages. Brady handed him a gift and he dropped it. When Brady does that you MUST take advantage of it. If you don't, well, we saw what happened.

I watched the game late last night (NFL GamePass + head-in-sand-for-hours). When Toussaint ran unsuccessfully on first down, I said out loud, "There's the game, right there." (It was kind of muffled, because I had my Terrible Towel wrapped around my head in rally-cap mode. ) Too much time left on the clock, NE with timeouts in their pocket and field position about to be in the favor. If PIT doesn't get a first down there, it's looking very bad. And ... they went three-and-out (only one of the entire game for either team). Grrr.

 

The pass was tipped, wan't it? That's a tough adjustment, especially when he was tracking it before the deflection.

 

I realize it wasn't easy, but I think it's a play that more often than not an NFL safety makes. It's just tough when Brady gives you a gift like that and you can't take advantage of it. To beat the Pats, you've got to play mistake free football and take advantage of any and every mistake they make.

 

Ask yourself....why is it only them that are involved in cheating scandals and why are they always the beneficiary of highly debated calls and all calls matter of fact. Certainly makes you say hmmm...if it walks like a duck...

 

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not cover by the PI rule. Any team may hold, tackle or rip the uniform off our players and it is not considered a foul under NFL rules

 

I know I saw it...just more proof it's a uneven playing field. Never goes against them though and they play more games than anyone else too....

 

The next hit just came in, the NFL just suspended Thomas Davis two games for his helmet to helmet yesterday against Green Bay. It occurred during a play and it was his second offense, he was fined the first time. Sound familiar? The big idiot in NE got one game so he could still be with us yesterday. His was a flagrant after the play foul.
