Once again Ben blames someone else.... His coaches....

The call to go for it may have come from the sideline but as the leader ... Future HOFer... You DONT make that throw!!! Throw it out the back of the end zone then kick the FG to send it to OT!!!!

Did you actually listen to what he said? Roethlisberger said it was the right call. He said he agreed with the coaches making that call and said that he has to make a better throw. He was asked what happened and he answered. Unless he lied about the coaches calling the play, there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of what he said.

Cajun, about this loss, Ben took responsibility. He wanted to spike it, the sideline (Haley, Tomlin) said to go. He took the responsibility for the pick. Rogers was held, with of course no call. The better team lost yesterday, unfortunately. Time to win the next 2 and get a 1st round bye.

I watched the game then left for work angry..... Sports radio was saying he was blaming the call on the coaches. I did not hear him speak as I then ran out of the radio range. I'm still at work but I did see where steelers depot said something similar.

Not clocking it was ABSOLUTELY the right call! But why in the world do you run a route into that kind of congestion in the middle of the field?!

Was a very bad play one way or another . Should have had 2 plays called on 2nd. down . We used to teach our guys in HS that . Ben was at the helm he didn't have a play ready and was about to waste 3rd. down.

The Coaches correctly told him don't waste the down ,Ben called the wrong audible to Eli and he tried to force a ball .

In a perfect world there should have been a play already called and if not Ben should have been aware of the down and game situation and should have been calling a real play with all players involved not a fake spike with 1 route .

One thing we all forget is we had all night and this morning to discuss it, Ben had a split second. I don't like what happened but unless you have been in that situation you don't understand how the speed of the game affects the play. The could of would of should of stuff is easy for us but the fact is it didn't happen. You all think Ben want that, I am sure he wanted to win the game it just didn't happen.

You want to blame someone start with our coaching staff, 3 min and the ball and we can't put it away. How about the whole world knowing Gronk is gonna get the ball and we go to a zone that never works vs Marsha. How about an easy int by Davis to seal the game..........Ben is Ben. jmo

What the hell is ben talking about a better throw into triple coverage to a receiver rogers who has a hard enough time making catches in single coverage, and even Romo said on that play the only throw that should have been made was a fade where only his guy could make the catch, of course as it turns out he should have thrown it out of the end zone to stop the clock and kick the F/G and go to OT, nuff said Ben doesn't get a pass for that stupid throw....

I'm not surprised. There are people that don't even watch the game that get on here and complain about stuff that happened.

Yeah Ben made a terrible decision there. Should have chucked it in the stands there.

In his first interview he basically was . Saying it was the Coaches who called the play . The Coaches told him not to spike it, Ben called the spike and the changed spike play . He didn't straight lie but he didn't man up either .

Man up would have been . I didn't have another play ready in case the WR couldn't get out of bounce . I called the wrong play on the spike on 3rd. down. The Coaches correctly told me not to spike it. I got us in a bad play and made a bad throw .

He was saying clock it clock it give yourself 1 play .The FG would have been the only play .

That is an illusion caused by Patriots reacting to the throw. James and Bell were just standing there. The only choices was to make a better throw, meaning a low one that only Rogers can get to, or throw it in the stands. Roethlisberger made the wrong choice and it cost his team the chance at overtime.

If you'd bother to look up before speaking you'll see where I said I watched the game then left and heard they radio and social media Bens comments.......

I also said this is in Ben.... Never mind the play call, in that moment he has GOT to Know Eli was covered... Throw it through the end zone so you can tie the game!!!!!

He did take responsibility for the play, though Roethlisberger claims his mistake was not making a good enough throw. That figures. He thinks he can make that throw. It's the same thinking that led to the touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes that won them a Super Bowl. In this case, he was wrong, but I understand the thinking.

He's not arguing the coaches' decision to go for it. He's saying in that split second, his decision was to clock it. They made a different call and during the interview, Roethlisberger said he agreed with the coaches' decision.

I get that y'all want to lash out today. At Roethlisberger. At the Patriots. At the officials. I feel it, too. I'm angry about how that went down, but let's not allow that frustration to push us into ridiculous conclusions.

The int was on Ben. The cluster that led to it is on Haley. Ben calls for the spike the team gets set for and and then they try for a pass..all with the clock ticking down. WTF?

Even with all of the confusion no way Ben should have thrown that pass. Unless he saw someone open he should have thrown it into the net to stop the clock.

Right call. Pretty good throw. Only the Pats get a deflection right into a players hands. 99 times out of 100 just an incomplete pass and you then kick the FG.

The only conclusion I'm coming to today is that the Steelers cannot beat the Patriots in meaningful games. Until the Steelers prove otherwise, that conclusion remains steadfast.
