The play to DHB before the INT...

Was a ridiculous call by Ben to throw him that ball and not have another play called and ready before the fake spike. If any play lost the game it was that. It was just a stupid play to call and made no sense and showed the Steelers were not prepared and talking about what to call during the James review. I had a huge problem with that call because it forced the Steelers to hurry up and force the next call which was the INT in the end zone. I don't think that play is getting enough attention of just how dumb and stupid it was to call at the time.

 

Both of those passes should have been thrown away. No excuse for throwing that ball to dhb

 

Ben played great that game but he had two huge mental lapses there at the end not throwing the ball away and throwing to DHB in bounds with no timeouts. Those things just can't happen when you play a team like the Patriots who will take advantage of every little mistake and screw up you make which is exactly what they did in this case.

 

Thats where we really missed AB in those situations.

I still say the Immaculate Extension was a dumb play, bc if AB doesn't make that heroic effort, they lose the game and don't even make the playoffs (Balt would have beat Cincy if the game meant anything).
