if we can just drag ourselves (fans that is) out of the pit of misery for a moment and look past the trees and see the forest you can see that what transpired was the best thing that could have played out.

Losing like that will make this team even hungrier, angrier, nastier. Having won I think it would have had the opposite effect in that they would collectively sighed feeling a sense of mission accomplished. Instead players will continue to carry that chip on their shoulder.

They want the AFCCG in Boston? So be it. Sure they have the GOAT and the Gronk but what they don’t have is a championship defense . Not saying we do but I like our chances in round 2.

I’m more worried about facing Jacksonville than the Patsies.

If you're more worried about Jacksonville, then yesterday is the worst thing that could have happened.

If Steelers won, then the Pats were more than likely the 3 seed, meaning they'd get the WC, Jax then us.

Now, Steelers will need to beat Jax in order to get another shot at the Patriots.

It's that scenario which is so devastating, not just facing the Pats again.

I hope you are right. I went to bed mad, woke up mad as hell. I hope the team goes on a tear and crushes every team they face from here on out.

I got the Bills or Ravens beating the Jaguars in the playoffs.

I could see Baltimore beating them, not Buffalo

Yea I agree I think it will make them hungrier and more pissed off. Still not all is lost you still have a chance to be the number 2 seed and get a week off and a home game and maybe 2 home games depending what happens with the Pats in the playoffs. I think if we get the Jags here again in the divisional round we will take them out. These playoffs if anything have a chance to be a revenge tour for the Steelers should they face both the Jags and Pats the 2 teams they lost too. So we'll see how things play out. I have a feeling that the call the Pats got to help them win the game will come back and around to bite them somehow someway Come playoff time.

I can't buy into this "moral victory" crap. We were competitive, they don't own us, etc. etc. etc. Sorry, but I call bullcrap on ALL of that! We LOST! Period! We should have and could have and would have..............:facepalm::facepalm::mad::mad::mad::frustrated::frustrated::frustrated:

I'm actually proud of the Steelers performance against the Patriots. All I asked for was the Steelers to be competitive and they were. I'm impressed with this team. It's gonna be hard to win at NE, but there is still hope.

Your right, now we have to win our last two games to keep the jags from getting the two seed because the jags will be 12-4 ........

Agree.. Jags will be 12-4 and Patriots will be 13-3.

Bills, Jets and Dolphins will fold like a cheap tent, like they always do at Gillette.

I am still disconsolate about this loss, but I'm not really afraid of Jacksonville, whom I believe will be the 3 seed. This is a team with zero playoff experience, and I'm telling you right now- if they (Jacksonville) plays the Ravens in the first round- they lose to them. I also am not sure they will even finish at 12-4 either.
