I really can’t believe that call. We outplayed them and still lost. No AB, we run it down their throat, Ben outplays Brady and defense was relatively decent. Man. We better get them in the playoffs, we will whoop their ass. I’m confident as heck now.

 

Fire Todd Haley for making a stupid call in the last two seconds of the game and also fire Davis for not knowing how to cover somebody three times in a row

The problem is the rule is ambiguous. James definitely lost control. He also definitely made a football move by pivoting on his knee toward the end zone.

It could go either way. But it's the Pats and it's the Steelers so that call is never going Pittsburgh's way.

 

What bothers me is that it has to be conclusive that it hit the ground. At which, there was not one view that showed the ball actually hitting the ground. There IS a view where his hand is under the ball. Absolutely unreal in a game that cost the Steelers the 1st seed and a bye.

 

Remember the league also sent a nice apology to the AZ CARDS when they got the ben roethlisbergerS TD wrong in the SB .

C’ mon, he was sliding away from the pass.... if he was an above average safety he woulda caught it, but he ain’t...

 

Well maybe we don’t need all the last minute drama if we actually get two first downs the drive before with less than 4 minutes on the clock or maybe the defense doesn’t let Brady get to our 8 yard line in four plays. We could have put the game away on offense or defense way before that contraversial call. But what the heck...
