I do not understand how they didn't adjust and double Gronkowski. Davis clearly couldn't handle him. Nobody on that team can.

I do not understand the play-calling on the possession before the Patriots took the lead.

I do not understand Davis failing to get his hands around on that tipped ball which should have been intercepted.

I do not understand Roethlisberger throwing a ball in the field of play on second down, forcing them to rush on third down.

I do not understand James failing to secure the catch before reaching the ball out.

All of that said, the reversal of James's touchdown was correct. He was going down as he caught the ball. You have to control the ball as you hit the ground there. He made a mistake reaching out rather than focusing first on securing the catch and it cost his team the game.

I don't think it was borderline. If it looks like a catch it is one! This whole definition of a catch is bureaucratic nonsense!

 

I don”t understand why Ben chose to get cute there.. Also they throw it to one of the shortest receivers and one with out a bunch of snaps under his belt. I thought as long as you still hold on tho the ball it’s a catch. Also I believe there was not overwhelming evidence to overturn the call on the field.

 

Why does a football move need to be steps. If you are at goaline you don't need steps?

He caught it mid-air; turned to stretch over goaline. That is a football move. Ground can't cause a fumble. BS rule!

 

IN all fairness to the refs on the field aren't those reviews handled by someone back in New York?

 

Yeah some of these rules are making the game hard to watch.

 

Hand under the ball....made a football move and ball broke the plane. Once he caught it which he hid clearly and cleanly he made a football move to put the ball over the line....straight up highway robbery. The league is fixed... Hope their plane crashes into Goodells house on the way back ...**** them..

 

All the more shady if the call is made from NFL HQ.

 

For those disagreeing please explain. Why did Goodell pursue the Brady suspension if he wanted them to win last year? Brady already has the most SB wins by a QB so there's only stat padding at this point.

 

The explanation of that call, was the first time I have ever heard that verbiage, and probably will be the last time, the call was a joke.
