this guy deserves some props. he's played pretty well for us this year. glad we had him. will he get re-signed or does he move on to start somewhere else next year?

 

Dunno. Foster is the “old man” of our OL personnel, and he’s the only guy in his 30’s (31).

 

Hubbard held his own against Suggs in Ravens game. Helluva job by Hubbard. Hope the Steelers can keep him.

 

Just checked: Hubbard has played in 36 of the last 39 games. PFF doesn’t say to what extent, but still... Dude seems to get decent field time.

 

A lot of those snaps are as a 3rd te. He’s actually been a pleasant surprise filling in for Gilbert.

 

I have to admit, I wasn't very high on Hubbard, coming into this season, but he's been decent. Especially this latest stint with Gilbert suspended. The Ravens game may have been his best.

 

Agree, he has done very well.

 

The blocking by Hubbard on Bells TD run where Hubbard locks up and drives the LB almost to the endzone was picture perfect. I though they were filming another BLINDSIDE movie.

 

Pleasantly surprised by his play this year.

He has to be.


He is essentially auditioning for a team who is willing to pay in free agency should Pittsburgh elect not to pay him what he wants.

 

He's proving himself a very valuable interior swing man. I hope they re-sign him, depth on the o-line comes into play every year at some point.

Gilbert is easily the superior run blocker, but their pass blocking is nearly identical

 

Yes he does, we are pretty lucky to have a deep roster like this.
