The Steelers need to be able to mix man and zone, which they didn't do in the AFC Championship Game. They kept running the same coverage over and over again and that is part of why the failed.

... and the offense couldn't do squat. Patriots D shut them down.

Bill Belichick when asked whether Antonio Brown deserving of MVP consideration: "Absolutely...Give it to Bell, too. Give it to Roethlisberger, too, if you want to. They are all really good and excel at their position."

    Funny guy he is.

That is why I said it was part of why they failed, not all of why they failed.

It didn't help that Bell tried to play when he had no business being on the field. He was badly injured and he had no burst at all. They wasted snaps on giving him the ball early and that was part of what put them in the hole.

He is healthier now and the offense has more weapons than it did a year ago, so there is reason to believe they can have better success offensively this time around. That doesn't mean it will happen, but it can.

I don't see much reason to expect a better defensive performance, not with Shazier out, Haden possibly missing the game and Tuitt underachieving.

Haden not gonna play. I'm sorry, coming off a broken leg, practicing and then being inserted? no way lol. Likely will play a couple of snaps before the season ends ready for the playoffs.

People also need to realize despite how mediocre the Pats D is, they seem to be able to shut down the Steelers O.

Last year during the regular season game Ben was out. In the playoff game Bell played a quarter and probably shouldn't have even played that much as he was injured going into the game. In fact the only other time both Ben and Bell have been on the same field with the Pats was 2013, Bell's rookie season.. So this is far and away the healthiest, most dynamic offense the Steelers have fielded vs the Pats in years. I'd be shocked if they kept them below 30 pts.

The problem is that Bellichik is plotting away like an evil genius locked up in his tower. Think he isn't hip to what we've been doing successfully over the past few weeks? If there's something there to exploit, he will find it.

I just hope Ben has some more magic in his hat.

Bellickik can devise the game plan he wants but he might not have the personnel to execute that game plan, the Pats have quite a few banged up defensive players.I can see the Steelers winning a shoot out, as long as they take care of the football and don't turn it over
