I’ve never read such a biased post. Clearly, the Pats lost the last game of 2007

    :roflmao:

Mentally tough is the ability to see this team's faults and accept them as reality. You are the opposite... rose-colored glasses, 24/7. That is not mentally tough. This behavior is delusional.

Nearly all of us see those faults. The differentiator is whether our realities are dipped in optimism, neutrality or pessimism.

I’d submit that being optimistic requires more mental toughness. It’s much easier to “endure” being pleasantly surprised than cruelly disappointed.

Exactly. I definitely know the Steelers have some issues and history says we'll lose to the Pats, but I'm not going to dismiss this game or any other as a loss before it's even played. If I don't think we have a chance or I'm convinced we're always going to lose then what's the point of even being a fan. I mean I ***** about play calling and mistakes during games just like anybody else.

If you take pride in being objective (so called realist) then be a friggin sports talk show guy. If you're going to to be a fan then hope and pull for your team to win. Be critical when needed, but have some friggin balance.
I know we're all Steelers fans, but some people are just really bad at it.
