Establish the run game with Nix and McDonald leading the way for Bell, if that china doll McDonald even plays . Miami ran the ball well against the Patriots, if Bell gets going it keeps Brady off the field. Ben needs to play smart like he did against the Ravens, throw short to Bell and Jesse because AB is going to draw a lot of coverage. Since the OLBs don't apply enough pressure on the QB, Butler needs to blitz Hilton off the slot and Vince up the middle.

Borrow Jacksonville's defense for the game.

Im okay with establishing the run but what I don't want to see is continued 2 runs up the middle for a total of 4 yards, then rely on Ben to pass on 3rd down and 6. This is not Ben's style, he is much better in up tempo when he mixes it up with sometime pass on first down. we need to be unpredictable against Bellicheat because once they know what your going to do your in trouble.

I almost would like to see the pass set up running plays to open some running lanes for Bell. Because of our defense we need open it up and outscore them because that's our strength and the reason why now we are scoring more verses earlier in the year.

Ben will be the key this week, just like the past 4 or 5 games.

I agree 100% with this, yeah we all saw what the Fish did to the Cheats D with the run game but when we play like that it just don't work. Play to our strengths and that is let Ben get his flow, I love the short passing game. Is there really a difference if we dump it off to Bell or hand it to him? The way I look at it is Bell has to be involved but why force the run when it isn't working, let him work the outside with a short pass.

I have said this before this offense is scary when Ben is on. We can score on anyone, screw the Jags D! We can win this game with a under average D as long as we have Ben on, Ab - Bell - Juju - MB and a solid oline. #unstoppable

Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush! We need to be very aggressive on D. Slow the WR's up at the line and pressure Brady. Do it over and over again, even if we get burned early. Eventually we'll start to get to Brady and it will disrupt their whole offence.

If we don't pressure Brady, we will lose. We have shown that we have no ability to beat them when we drop back into coverage. We need to rush the passer!

I like emphasizing the running attack, but I think the key must be to get ahead on points early. Falling behind on the scoreboard pushes us toward the passing game, and NE knows it.

100% - Cover everyone the first 5 yards off the line and have the lb's take out the receivers (ask Juju how to make that work) on those 3 yard cross routes. make them pay for every 5 yards they dink and dunk..

Steelers will still have to deal with Jax IF they take out NE. Jaguars D is scary good. Jaguars vs. Steelers in the playoffs would be a low scoring game, IMO.

I think the game plan should be to score more points than they do.

Brady himself has admitted that when defenses are physical against his wr’s at the line it gives them major problems and that’s exactly how the Phins gave them a beating. They weren’t able to convert a 3rd down the entire game.

Our offense I’m not worried about. Our coaches and our defensive game plan is what concerns me. Hopefully they’ve learned something from the last time we played them and have watched film to study what the Phins did.
If we go into this game with same kind of scheme we've used so far this year the Pats will chew us up on D and it will be a shootout.

play man and blitz. might as well lose that way instead of the 15 yard cushion where the 5'8 lacrosse and soccer players catch 10+ yard passes every time. Also, the offense has to show up. I think they are gonna play bell good, the hop scotch won't work against the pats... Ben better be ready to sling it if he has to

The defense will have to play "bend but don't break too badly," because they are going to get torched. It's a matter of limiting the torchings... and hope the offense can match Brady point for point and somehow get the ball near the end before time runs out. Steelers don't have the personnel or schematics on D that the Dolphins have who can limit Brady. Losing Shazier and Haden put a major damper on the Steelers chances vs. Patriots. I had the Steelers a 10% chance of winning before Shazier went down. It's dropped down to maybe 2% maximum.

Besides not having Bell, this is where we went wrong (well one of the places we went wrong) last time we played. We are at our best when we use the dump offs as an extension of the running game. This plays to Ben's strengths and to Bells. I couldn't care less if Bell had 2 yards rushing and 150 in dump offs...no difference in my opinion!

I think they need to come out passing to set up the run. They will expect the opposite and we tried that in the AFCCG and they shut Bell down. Defense I want man. Maybe do what the Ravens did to us last week and try to disguise and show blitz and have some people drop in coverage and sometimes bring the heat.

I look at this game as a chance to go full throttle and try something different. Lose still control our destiny for the #2 seed. Win and we can really hurt the Patriots and make them #3 seed and have to play Ravens in wildcard. No reason to play normal Steelers football and be passive. Zone all game trying to keep everything in front. Trying to run out the clock and protect the lead. We've seen it 3-4 against the Pats and it doesn't work! Free chance to try something different.

Actually, if the Pats lose to the Steelers and Jax wins out, the Pats would be the #3 seed going by my calculations. Oh how would I love to see them have to play both Baltimore and Jax.

That would give them a taste of some old school defensive Tenderizing.

Bend and keep them from scoring half the time in the redzone. Ben is going to have to light them up to open the run game 2nd half. Bell ain't as fast as that Miami guy was. dude was spinning in circles and doing insane cutbacks. Bell is making rap lyrics in his head when has the ball.

" Give me the ball, I see you patriots.... watch me stall, haha you cant catch me and even if you do, I be getting first downs and maybe a touchdown or two. You might slow me down, or throw me on the ground, throw me 20 mil and maybe i'll see you around".

That all happened during 1 carry lol

Time for little brother to punch big brother in the nose.

Jam their receivers, pressure up the middle on Brady and lots of no huddle on offense and spreading the ball around.

Oh, and someone fly Hampton in and promise him a box of donuts to jump from the stands and land on Gronk when he comes out of the tunnel.

Ben started going to the hurry up offense a couple games ago and has been lighting up the scoreboard. Stick with it!

The Patriots will do everything they can to take AB and Bell out of the game, but this year I think JuJu, Jesse James, Eli Rodgers, and Martavis is enough to counter that.

If we try to power run and ball control, I think we play into their hands. We also need to add a few wrinkles to make them guess wrong.

    ON DEFENSE:

I'd like to see some well-timed blitzes, that aren't just with Mike Hilton.

I think we have the corners to hang with them if they try to spread us out. Only issue is who covers Gronk ... I say Sean Davis.

Our front 3 need to DOMINATE! Cam, Tuitt, and Hargrave!
