Wait, they won didn't they?

It's victory Monday. They won the division title, secured a post season playoff berth, host a playoff game, are 11-2. SwepT the Bengals and Ravens. Come on folks enjoy it for a minute.

Is it better to dominate an opponent or to give them hope, make them believe they have a shot at winning and then snatching that hope from them?

There really isn't a lot off difference in a good team and bad team. Good teams usually find a way to win, even win they shouldn't have.

 

It’s hard to tell if they won or not. I’m reading about how terrible our safeties are, how bad the LOLB is, how it’s pathetic McCullers doesn’t do anything, how soft the defense is, and etc. People are wanting to fire the coaches, get rid of the front office, change the team’s colors to orange and brown, and move to Cleveland.

Me, I’m just celebrating another AFC North championship, looking forward to a first round bye, and getting ready to whoop Brady and co.

 

Can't enjoy it because of our stupid coach.

 

It is better to dominate. More importantly, it is better to show signs that they might have a shot at winning next week.

I am enjoying the win. It was a great game to watch and I love what the offense is doing right now. That said, the defense is a mess and this team doesn't look like it has a real shot at the ultimate goal, the Super Bowl.

 

Don’t forget bens too old,shoulda quit last year, doesn’t have it anymore, Landry or Dobbs should be starting.

 

Ill always be happy about a win. Doesn't matter how you win. This is the NFL fellas, were 11-2.

 

And Bud sucks and they should cut Sean Davis and the TEs are sub-par and Martavis has given up... and... all those guys together just swept the Ravens tho... wuuuuuuuut?

 

I am so happy we won the way the game started it was gonna be a blow out then it all went bad and it looked like a bad loss. I am so happy we swept the rats and bunholes, we win the division, we will host a playoff game and the O did what most of us have been waiting for it to do.

I love talking about how great Ben played last night and how lucky we are to have a darn good oline to let him work his magic to AB, Bell, MB, JJ and wow even Macdonald. However it is ok to talk about some of the glaring holes as well. I am not gonna say the whole doom and gloom thing but imo it is fine to talk about today, tomorrow whenever. jmo

 

I have enjoyed the season a lot. I enjoyed last year too. But I want to win it all. Really badly. And the Steelers losing Shazier hurts. I was happy to know Haden was going to come back this year. The Steelers just needed a good defense to win it all but the patroits are an issue for me. They have a hard time beating them and they will more than likely have to beat them twice to have a chance at the Super Bowl. So my hope is Tomlin figures out how to contain them enough so Big ben can do what he has been doing because Boswell has become a megastar and if he kicks like this, a close game means the Steelers have the advantage in every way.

 

Go Dolphins, just tonight.

 

A few years ago I was always on the board Monday mornings looking to move past the high fives and awesome airkicks and to start breaking down what we saw on Sunday. I'd get annoyed when people said enjoy the win stop being negative which I felt I wasnt. Now I give it a day and let the win sink in.

The only thing that would make today better would be seeing the Dolphins lay a smackdown on the Cheatriots tonight.

I have always tried to stay positive, I think the Jag game I lost it a bit but for the most part if we win I try to enjoy like you say then discuss the good and bad. My problem is imo I feel this is one of if not the best Steeler team I can remember in a looooooonnngggggggggggg time. When these guys are on I feel nobody on their best day can beat us.....but we have to be on. This team is good and when we don't play like it I get a little.............cranky?????

 

Means NOTHING if we don't sweep the browns :-D

 

im enjoying this win bigger than any other win so far. yes there are issues that need addressed. my only problem with last night is martavis bryant. what a pussy. he gave himself up and slowed up and stopped and didnt put forth effort. people act like hes a hall of famer. hes been given enough chances and several times last night he put us in bad field positions over and over. sit his ass. a few years ago he caught some balls with wide open field to run in. as for the reat of the game when he has to make his own yardage it aint happening. thank god juju is back. im still feeling great from last nights win and while there is problems im still celebrating. we put up 39 on a good defense without juju, so lets hang 45 on the pats and cross our fingers.

 

Well, if you want to look at the negative. I have been a Steelers fan since 1972 and with authority I can say this is the worst 11-2 Steeler team I have ever seen, LOL.

But I`m happy we are 11-2. That said, if we beat NE this game, we should be #1 seed, find a way to do it again, and go to the S.B. If we lose, we will lose to NE next time we play them (on the road). This game coming up is everything as far as having a chance to go to the S.B. barring something unexpected like a serious injury to Brady or by miracle NE gets knocked out by somebody else.

 

Hows come noone ever gives the love to CB.... how many of those 11 wins rest on his leg (not calling you out SF... but man.... he TOTALLY belongs with the Killer Bee's IMO)

 

We all knew it was gonna be close. It always is. I’m just glad they won.

That was a GREAT win last night, but let's face it, guys...the 800 pound gorilla is paying us a visit on Sunday and we've been that freaking monkey's play toy for the last decade and I'm sick and tired of it! Some call it obsession and that's fine, but in the end, it all comes down to the Patriots. You can rest assured if we spot Brady and his ragtag band of slow white guys and fomer lacrosse players a double digit lead like we did the last two weeks, we're toast. I've got the utmost confidence in our offense, but I have no confidence in our defense to be able to stop or even contain Brady. To beat the Pats, we'll need 38 points minimum and hope for the best.
