Also if they aren't calling the clutching and grabbing beyond the 5 yard chuck zone for the Pats then the Steelers must respond in kind until the know what flavor of bubble gum their man is. Clutch him, grab him, give him a prostate exam, tie his laces together but make them fight for every yard and blade of grass, no free release, no timing for Brady.

I love what Joe had to say and it's true. The team and the coach have to get the Patriots out of their heads and realize their talent and play with all they have. If this team executes is the most talented team in football period, no one can beat us especially at home.

It was very telling last week when Tomlin stated he was looking forward to week 15. I don't like that statement at all because it shows everyone and your players that they are in your head. The correct answer would be he's worried about it after week 14, if true or not, just sends the message to the team that he's not worried about anyone and no team is worth worrying about if we play our game.

You know what bothers me the most about it is the pats wrs are soft as hell, they load up on small little shifty guys and run timing routes cause Brady releases so fast. Get up on the line and knock them around and screw up their routes. I mean come on Edelman, Amendola, Cooks, Hogan, Dorsett, none of them are capable of overpowering anyone. Gronk is only physical threat on that team. RB screens are the other threat.

Someone lit a fire under Ben's ass. Maybe Mean Joe talked to him? The last 2-3 games Ben has been a different QB. He's even running. Watching him run for a couple first downs Sunday night made my jaw hit the floor. I was like who the hell is that guy? His passing has suddenly improved too. He's got more zip , more accuracy and seemingly more intensity. it's nice to see cause Ben was started to look like he needed to retire soon.

I can't help but think someone told him "this is it ... you want to be a NFL legend you have to carry this team to another SB victory." He didn't look like he was having fun for most of the season. I hope his renewed energy rubs off on the rest of the team. It's time to step it up and play better ball.

A whole different defensive philosophy must be played against the Pats, Due you feel
    the coaches/players can do it?

Am I missing something? Where does this specifically say anything about beating the Pats?
    I smell more Patriots obsession/fear.

This is some good stuff by Mean Joe though!

Beating the Patriots is simple: STOP ALLOWING BRADY TO THROW FOR 400 YARDS AND PLAY DEFENSE.

Also, stay freaking healthy. Every time we play them, someone important is hurt. Last year: See Ben in the regular season and Bell the most of the game in the postseason.

This 100%... No Timing for Brady.. Knock out his dink and dunk clock. Then the OLB's have a shot at him.

This . The OP is part of an interview Mean Joe did with Ray Fittipaldo of the Post-Gazette. Nowhere in the article does it mention the Patriots.

Maybe it’s just me, but it’s going to take a bit more than just being serious. With that being said I’m not worried about the patriots for 3 more weeks.

    STOP OBSESSING ABOUT THE PATRIOTS!!!!!

seriously, if we are so obsessed just imagine how Pittsburgh feels. Ok, so this is how we beat them. Basically Brady has to lose his arms, Bill has to get Alzheimer's fast...

Glenn what do you think? In your mind how can we overcome them? I'm with heinzmustard I think we lose again. I think we should forget about every other game in the year and just focus on beating the pats. We will be 10-6 but hey we beat those sorry cheaterflakes.

SERIOUSLY ENOUGH OF POSTS ABOUT PATS.

I don't think our secondary can keep up with Brady. Even with Haden our pass rush won't get home.

WE NEED TO FOCUS ON BENGALS.

They shut down Brown everytime. Hell, even the Raisins do too. Bill owns Tomlin.

IF WE DON'T FOCUS WE CAN LOSE HOME FIELD.

I bet someone important gets injured and we lose to the PATRIOTS again. MAN they always have it easy.

MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO JUST WIN 1 GAME AT A TIME. OBSESSION GETS YOU NOWHERE.

What are we? Like 2-6 vs New England and 1 of those wins was against Matt freaking damon.

LIKE I SAID. JUST GET 1ST SEED AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Except beating the pats, it wont.

    :D

How do you propose we do that when we make quarterbacks like Brett Hundley, Mike Glennon and Jacoby Brisset look like All-Pros? I'm sorry, I'm extremely happy the Steelers are 9-2 but I just don't have any confidence in our defense being able to stop Brady and I definitely don't like our chances with Mike Tomlin preparing the team vs. Bill Belichick preparing his team. Call it obsession if you want, but I call it OUR collective reality over the last decade. We have never beaten the Patriots when it truly counted and I don't have confidence we'll do that this season. I truly hope I'm wrong, but I still don't think we're playing as a cohesive unit at this point on either side of the ball. We're relying on splash plays from our superstars to put us over the top. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we have them, but BB has a way of taking your best players out of the game.

I will GUARANTEE, if, (and that's a HUGE IF) steelers get the #1 seed, they are going to the sb.

How to beat the cheats? Break Brady's legs, push a receiver into Belicheat so he has to leave the game, and score more points.

Tbh I don’t hate Brady. Why hate the greatest of all time? Is it our fault we can’t find a formula to beat him? Is it our fault we don’t adjust? Do you think when he goes Home to his husband he says “you know Pittsburgh is the better team right?”

Nope. He takes care of business like a champ does.
