Pat can't get the defense playing respectful, I am disappointed in coach Narduzzi. He should have them playing better.

Not surprised to be honest. Pat does not have enough pedigree like he did at Michigan State.

Then again... the NCAA is essentially rigged to have the rich get richer..

Pitt does not fall under that categoey.

You have got to be kidding me? LOL Who do you think recruited those players from PA, OH, to Michigan State.
It will come it's just not fast enough for this Old Pitt man. Hail to Pitt! Narduzzi will find those 3-4 star players that he use to get
    at Michigan State.

So Pitt hangs 76 points on syracuse and the pitt defense lets them hang 61 points on them, two teams with no nada zippo none defenses.....

Just read a story this morning that 6' 3" WR Weah should have a breakout season with the newly signed former USC QB. The O hasn't been the problem in recent years even with below average QB's - it's that awful D. Hoping Narduzzi's recruiting will begin having a positive effect. :thumbs up:

Our Pitt defense is terrible, our best player on the team is suspended first 3 games.
If we get to 8 wins we will be lucky. Coach Narduzzi has to turn the corner on his recruiting and defensive.
He was brought in as a defensive wiz. Hasn't happened. Sound familiar, Coach Cliche was brought in for his defensive mind.
He hasn't been too impressive either.

Loosing to Penn State just made recruiting for Pitt a lot harder. Combine that with empty seats in the stadium and kids are going to look elsewhere.

What is more puzzling is how they ever managed to knock off both Penn St and Clemson last year - both top 5 teams at the time and the only team in the Country to do so all of last year? Never thought I'd long for the days of Nate Pederman. At least Nate could throw catchable passes to Jester Weah.

For what it is worth, I don't think Penn State was even ranked in the top 25 when they played Pitt. They just kept getting better as the season went on. Heck, they started getting better in the second half of the Pitt game.

You are correct - the stat should have read - Pitt only team to beat 2 Top 5 teams in the final regular season rankings. The win over Clemson on their turf though is possibly the biggest head scratcher of all time or at least since Pitt beat West Virginia in Dec 2007 to knock them out of the National Championship game.

Isn't that sort of what tapioca pudding is? If Rice is ranked higher than 250th, I think Pitt's in for a long day. :noose:

..or maybe they can! I'm a Penn State fan, but I can't stand Miami.

    Say it with me. OVER-RATED!

Have to give Narduzzi his props.

Beats two AP Top Four Teams in back to back years; the former being the eventual BCS Champion no less.

Here is hoping that Narduzzi and the Pitt Athletic department can use this as a platform for more kids.

How about them Panthers? Hail Pitt. Once again you better be /have your players
prepared especially on the road to avoid a situation like yesterday. Miami has way more talent
than Pitt has, as do many ACC teams.

Great W vs Syracuse today (10-6-18). Awesome ground and pound and timely D. Steeler's need to draft Pitt's Kicker NOW! Dude kicked a 55 yd FG today - announcers say it's the longest in history of Heinz Field, I'm not sure of that but he made 3 very long FG's with one following the deluge/game delay. Would have loved to have been there. Only looked like 15,000-20,000 in attendance though and it was Homecoming. Sad. But HTP. :thumbs up:

I am thoroughly disappointed with the Pitt Panthers. I am happy they won, but they should be way
more competitive, Narduzzi has been here 4 years and the program has not gotten better?

No, not happy but always pleased with a W against a rival.
