    Now that he’s tested positive, he ought to pump himself full of them to heal over the next (inactive) month.

    So you saying he would take something to come back from an injury quicker but wouldn't take something to get a big fat contract extension?

    I don't know much on what Gilbert had taken however I did hear on the radio awhile back that there are so many company's out there with all kinds of "heeling" drugs and it is hard to keep up with it. They also said that it is the players responsibility to bring any meds or training supplements to the trainers and they are suppose to check these.

    Now I am not sticking up for Dilbert on this but wanting to point out that maybe it wasn't his fault or maybe it was. Don't know and don't care all I know is by doing what he did it left a hole that will be hard to fill and that sucks!!!!!!!

    Next man up. Unfortunately he won't be back for the cheats game, but will be back for the last two and the playoffs.

    Sometimes these players that are injured and are competitors will do anything to heal and get back on the field circumventing the rules. It is what it is but Hubbard has started 5 games this year and the two that we lost with him was his fault right?! Common.

    This sounds odd, but I think you are right.

    Heard this breaking on May out of town on a 2 day darker out binge camping trip... No service, couldn't wait to get back to the board!

    'Twas a nice couple of drama free weeks... But we're back to doltdom. Anyhow go forth and conquer he'll be back.

    Nah, this means he's in the program now and will get tested more often...

    I think Lizard that he is suggesting that since it's already in his system and the length of time it remains varies based on what it is and physical factors he could conceivably be tested one a week for four weeks and still have it pop up so in for a penny in for a pound. Although likelihood that it would work that way is slim

    Guys take stuff all the time when they suffer a injury, some steroids help them recover faster. I'm sure the players get frustrated when a injury doesn't heal fast enough, then they get desperate and do something dumb like Gilbert did.

    Tack on his extensive injury history and the 2018 offseason will be intriguing to say the least;

    If anything, he has finished a full season once. That was in 2015.

    Again, he is not going anywhere but it would not surprise me that an early round offensive tackle might be taken. High emphasis on the keywors here being might.

    I’m only jokingly suggesting it. But...once I knew I’d failed the test and if I were deliberately taking something, I’d probably take another honking dose to get max benefits.

    Do they test them while they are suspended?

    After I posted my question, it crossed my mind that staying clean would be a condition of reinstatement. Thanks.
