Man, I'm torn here if they don't start using him soon. I expected a lot more than him riding the pine for 8 games and inactive the last 2. Don't know if it was a healthy scratch or his back was hurting from sitting so much.

If we are saving him for a late season run then I expect he will be scratched again this week and then will see more time for the Cincy MNF game and then the Rats under the lights again and finally very active for the Patriots in Blitz packages with Watt on the field as well just to confuse Brady.

Not sure what the plan is though but to this point it will be shame if they hold him back going into the most important games coming up.

HUGE fan of JH92, as I'm sure most are, but it seems the coaches are definitely sticking to their plan- give the young ones some experience. And Watt's performance is hard to argue. Could they put JH92 in on some late game drives....sure. But right now it seems giving the up and comers a full workload is trumping the fall back to ole reliable.

Will Watt hit the rookie wall? If JH92 starts playing more in weeks 12 and further then we may assume they are letting Watt recover to a lesser degree.

Harrison has a back injury, that plays a part in him being inactive.

I'm sure his locker room, veteran presence brings value, even if he never sees the field again.

For what he has brought to our team he can take up a spot this season. He will see action, mark it down.

He showed he can still play. I honestly think the plan has been to unleash him once Watt starts to hit that rookie wall which I believe is starting to happen.

It's another Tomlin mystery that doesn't make sense. No method to the madness.

I like the way they are moving Watt around and I can certainly envision and would actually expect a few scenarios where JH and Watt start to see time on the field together either in place of Dupree or even more intriguing in place of VW on passing downs, either in coverage or rushing up the middle. Gotta find a way to increase our pressure especially up the middle using only 4 or 5 . It will be essential against you know who....

I can't wait for Brady to look over and see James and have that scared little boy look on his face.

That $hit puts a smile on my face.:smiley1:

Harrison will be unleashed when he is needed most. No need to do so now.

Besides, the more reps Watt obtains, the more rapidly his abilities develop.

I think he’s earned the right. Potential upside is better than some 3rd or 4th string rookie or special teamed that might never see the field.

I’m surprised he hasn’t seen more action, but, I’m sure he’ll be ready and willing when the coaches do call on him.

Guess those hip thrusters with hundreds of pounds of weight didn't help his core.

Along with the point about saving him for when needed, this is it, for me.

If it was the case that we dropped a younger player with tons of upside to keep him here, then there would be more of a case perhaps. But there were no Derek Moyes’ this year.

Silverback is the reason we won SB XL111 with his Pick 100. He can retire whenever he wants in my book. Plus, other teams fear him still.

The whole situation with Harrison makes little sense. This notion that we are saving him for later in the season is silly.
I'm not saying he should be starting, but if he at all figures into our plans then he needs to be at least getting a handful of snaps per game when healthy.
We're not talking about a young guy who has his whole career ahead of him. Even if he's just insurance, he needs a handful of snaps. All the other back up OLB's are at least getting some ST reps.
Either he's dropped off that much or the coaching staff is nuts?

Do not fear the man who has a thousand moves....
Fear the man who has practiced the same move a thousand times...

While I personally would love to see him out there and while I also agree he should be getting at least some reps.....there is no doubt in my mind that he will be ready when called upon......soon......

    Winter is coming........

Landry Jones is eating a roster spot, not James Harrison.
