Pens are playing in a 1500 seat arena and looking good right now. Yep. Preseason but still entertaining.

15 goals against in 2 games???????????????? Good thing it's just the start. Hangover should clear in a few weeks. Everyone will be gunning for the Pens royally. That opening game ceremony was awesome to view but obviously stole lots of thunder from the home team. Was nice to pull even in the 3rd but.....

They went straight back to giving Letang a huge amount of ice time. I think they wasted training camp and the preseason just looking at where the kids from WBS are at in their development. Quite frankly I think Rutherford's wait and see strategy was the wrong approach.

I wasn't high on the trade for Reeves but two fights and a goal and he went right after Scott Hartnell after he hit Sid high. The man is earning his pay.

Yes - nice security guard to have - 3 shutouts in a row over Preds by Murray. Awesome. Good bounce back.

Pens are okay. It's a long season. No reason for any panic.

Yeah and they are shutting down the goal machine that is Ovechkin. Loving it.

Great win tonight - very tight play by Pens - dominant Power Play both sides of puck, winning face offs, stellar goal tending, good puck management - felt like a playoff game from start to finish. :thumbs up:

wow, Niemi looked horrible against Tampa Bay imo. Rutherford said he would rather have Jarry continue developing in Wilkes Barre so I hope Niemi picks it up...

If not they will replace him. They will not let a backup goalie stop their three peat.

I agree they will dump him if he doesn't shape up and I still think they need that 3rd line center to kinda help stabilize things. No rush yet but they need to be working the phones.

Long season with this squad, and I am not quite worried about their lackluster start either.

Great win! I really thought Crosby was going to score with McDavid right on him on the one handed backhander in the beginning of OT. I love seeing Phil the Thrill winning it for us though! Lets keep it going. LGP!

That's back to back games only allowing 1 goal each - remarkable improvement.

Going to the Minnesota Wild vs Penguins game tonight!! Can't wait, I'm directly above the tunnel where the Pens players come out. Paid a little more but I've never sat close to the bench before. Hope its a W!

Hey Hornquvist Empty net etiquette says fire that puck into the net and take the easy goal, don't play passy back and forth with Sid. Sid has lots of goals and scoring titles, and Conn Smythe awards he doesn't need fluffing. Put it in the friggin net.

Good game last night. I'm really interested in who the Pens play in goal tonight.
They have been awful in back to back games. They need to find an answer soon.

I think they play Jarry. This is the middle of a 5 gm road trip and they are concerned about Murray getting tired. They have a long home stretch coming up with some big games so I figure they will try to keep rotating on back to back games instead of overloading a single goalie

I thought Jarry was in the minors, they got rid of Niemi and signed some other cod as backup. Can't remember his name right now.

They brought DeSmith up from WBS and he didn't have a good showing so they sent him back down and recalled Jarry. He looked pretty solid against Calgary the other night. I haven't heard if they signed anyone else yet.
