Steelers @ Lions, Oct. 29 8:30pm

Well now. The mighty mighty Steelers (5-2) put their AFC Central lead on the line next Sunday (Oct. 29) by traveling to Detroit to play the 3-3 Lions. It is nationally televised game....and we ALL know how the Steelers tend to lay a big egg on national TV.

I expect a typical lay-down by the mighty mighty Steelers, as they allow Detroit to roll all over them as is typical Steeler tradition when playing a lower talented team, re-igniting the "Fire Tomlin" and "bench Ben" threats....

Ah yes....Steeler football at its finest.

Dude we are pretty good in prime time.

 

I think if you look at Steelers Monday night record, it is pretty impressive.MNF is national TV.

AFC Central has been defunct since '02.

I hated having 6 teams in the division. That sucked. Division alignment is perfect now at 4 teams per division.

 

AFC Central? When the hell we playing the Oilers?

 

Some tidbits.

Jim Caldwell’s lions are 3-0 following a bye.

Lions are 8th in scoring and 28th in points allowed. Detroit is 28th in sacks allowed. They are pretty good at stopping the run.

Detroit has lost the last 2. Combine that with:
3-0 after bye, our road offense, and law of averages this will be really tough!

Last time we went 6-2 was 2011.

We do well in primetime.

 

Plus, we won a Super Bowl in Detroit. Just hope Ben plays better than he did in XL.

 

It’s gonna be tough but it’s not a must win. Even though(playing for bye) it really is.
