The way to fix that lose to bad teams they got going on is like this Sh*t on a shovel, dump it dead center on the locker room floor before the players show up. Put cones around the turd. Say we are playing the Jags that day. The pre-game speach would be, that Mother &^%$#@!&^% Borttels was seen bent over dropping this turd and ran away when I sowed up. Just hope no one remembers Najay Davenport

Not nearly as often as Tomlin teams. Tomlin's teams consistently underachieve in relation to their overall talent, while Cowher's teams overachieved in certain years... see 1992, 2001 and 2004 seasons. When Cowher lost to sub-par teams, the Steelers didn't have a good team. See years '98-'00 & '03.

Yes, but that was a by product of his game plan. Most of Cowher's teams were largely built around defense and power running. If he had a three-point lead in the 2nd half, you knew you what you were going to get: run - run - run.

Blast, how stale was the message when we won 9 straight after starting 4-5? I sometimes get very frustrated with Tomlin's in game decision making, and have been hard on him at times in the past, but there's a lot of positives there as well. If we fail to make the playoffs or fail to win at least one playoff game, I may take a step back and reassess, but right now recent history suggests that he will have the pulse of the team when it really counts.

BC did not regularly lose to the horse crap teams MT does. It's not even close. BC _did_ lose some AFCC games to lesser teams (which really sucked) but he usually did not lose to teams with 20% or less winning records like Cool Shades does.

I would force the other guys on him. Coach T is a players Coach as such he will not micro manage much . Give him brash and young OC'S and DC'S . Let them be bold and brave and over ride the do what we do concept. F the name on the uniform. F the money said uniform has been paid .

Peeps who will think outside the box with loyalty to the scoreboard only . Let Coach T be the glue and allow the others to get the best product on the field snap in and snap out.Game in and game out .As I have stated many times over it's all about vision and how that vision leads to production.

This Team has a Goal but no true vision of what is best to obtain that goal .
Do what we do will never beat vision and creativity .We lack those things desperately.

Now you're going to tell me how I think? I don't think you have enough brain cells to even get in my hemisphere. No knee jerk reaction at all, I read it earlier that morning or the day before. And like I said in my post, I found it odd that he'd go ask some guy who played some or a little QB in college advice on how NFL QBs play. And I did consider he asked as a second opinion, but who is really dumb enough to ask a lay person about mechanics when he was probably watching TV coverage. But I guess we know the answer to that one. You and Ben.

No doubt and I said last year I thought that was one of Tomlins best coaching jobs but that was last year and we are 5 games in to this season and Im starting to get the sense something seems off.

Its probably just because Ben isnt playing at a high level, but I am getting a little concerned there may be something more to it.

I don't know....if Ben has a problem with his mechanics maybe it's time to find some new mechanics....
I really wish he would worry more about his footwork and throwing motion....
**** with the money we're paying him,he could buy a new car every month.....:hehehe:

'94 Chargers were definitely lesser. '01 Patriots can be debated. '97 Broncos were probably the better team in hindsight.

Here's a link to a discussion about this from a few years back - Steel Acorn posted a link from a Labriola a&a.

Obviously the stats aren't completely up to date now, but the main takeaway is that Cowher and Tomlin aren't really that far apart on this stat.

So he said... what a load of crap that was from Tomlin. He didn't hold his OC accountable and couldn't pull the trigger. Typical horseshat from a leader who is all talk and no substance.

The last Steeler head coach with an offensive line background did pretty well for himself. I could live with Munchak being the next HC of the Steelers. But...it's gonna be Haley. :lolol:
