Status quo is what makes the Steelers organization so good. Don't ever change anything.

just a bunch of under coached over paid players that are given no game plan and if they do have one, it is the same every week.:rolleyes:

I realize they got away from PA in years past but isn't that why you hope to have a solid run game so you can work play action and get the mismatch?

I heard earlier in the week on a radio interview where Ben wasn't sure how they were going to gameplan against the Jags. It's obvious they never made one.

Do you think our best option is to bench Ben? I think as bad as he is playing he is still our best option......

I don't understand how anybody could watch that game and not question the play calling today. Yes, Roethlisberger was horrible, but that is all the ore reason Bell should have had the ball more often. He certainly should have run it at least one on that series inside the Jacksonville five before they settled for Boswell's third field goal.

The Steelers gave up on the run in the second half and the result was Roethlisberger forcing the ball and four of the five interceptions. The Jags stuck with the run and used it to dominate the fourth quarter.

Once you have watched as many live games as I have, you will catch on. Have patience.

I question any coach that attacks a teams strength and avoids its weakness.

Throwing 55 times and running 15 times is asinine.

It’s like they purposely do this to be stubborn.

They forget ben has tremendous success throwing the ball 20-25 times.

I've always said and will continue to say that the problem is Tomlin, not Haley (or it could be both, but it's definitely Tomlin). He appears poised to do what he wants to do regardless of the other teams strengths.

The head coach (or any half decent head coach anyway) always gets a report at half time about tendencies, patterns, what's working, what's not, etc, etc, etc. If Tomlin felt we needed to run more, why in the hell didn't he act like a coach and let Haley know that? Perhaps Tomlin wanted to keep passing due to Jax's strong Dline. We'll never know, but what I do know is the OC is never 100% at fault for poor play calling throughout a game. The head coach has a hand in it, as does the QB.

ps. Ben checked into a passing play at least once when they were inside the 5, and the play he checked into was not an appropriate play whatsoever to be running that close to the end zone. It left AB no room to actually run his route, which effectively took AB out of the play. For some stupid reason, Ben decided to throw it to AB anyway. There was a 0% chance that play worked out.

Sure seems like he can lol. The game plans this year have been puzzling to say the least.

Loaded box with single high safety? Let's run bubble screens and dive plays!

#1 pass defense in nickel? Let's throw it 55 times!

It's like Haley is in Bizzarro world

So let me see if I can follow your logic here... Ben called the entire game? Because I'm not sure which game you were watching, the entire thing stunk from start to finish. Doubtful Haley was blameless in this one.

    Or Tomlin.

Wait, you were being sarcastic... right?

The logic is Heley is not solely responsible for the poor performance of the Steelers' offense. Tomlin must OK the D and O plans. The players must execute. The players should shoulder the greatest amount of the failure. Certainly they want and claim the greatest amount of success when things go right. While guys be stand-up men and accepted the greatest amount of the blame. Ben did but what else could he say. It was obvious he played poorly.

Ben was doing that for a while but reverted back to playground ball late last season. Just stubborn I guess.

Yes I can't figure out why we didn't run the hell out of the ball to start the 2nd half we were only down 1

I am on board, I have said this in previous threads. It's time for a new beginning from the head coach on down.
