    Is James Harrison Done?
The other is that with T.J. Watt coming back from injury, the team does not need him. Watt and running mate Bud Dupree played 65 out of 67 snaps on Sunday. If Harrison is going to be active, he is going to play two snaps per game. However, Arthur Moats and Anthony Chickillo both play special teams. On Sunday Chickillo played 18 snaps and Arthur Moats played seven snaps on special teams.

On Wednesday, Harrison was listed as limited again with an illness. However, on Thursday and Friday, he was listed as a full participant. There is an argument that if Moats is only playing seven snaps on special teams, they can find someone else and have the better talent on the field, even if it is a small role.

If Harrison is not active this Sunday the excuses will be gone. This will be the way that things are going to go for the foreseeable future. Barring injury, it is unlikely to see this team go to him late in the season, as some may think. He is not going to jump in cold to break any sort of strides and momentum that they have already been building since this starting point of Week Four. Consistency is too important.

Sunday could be the true end of an era, and it could be confirmed that the Steelers do not currently have any use for Harrison. If Harrison is inactive on Sunday it will only take an injury for him to take another career snap.

I literally have no idea why they don’t at least play him on third downs. It’s kind of stupid IMO.

    Why third downs? Why stupid?

We're currently 7th in the league at stopping 3rd down conversions. Does Harrison need to be out there when we could be saving him for later in the season when the inevitable injuries hit?

After the way they played against the run today he's probably embarrassed to be on the same team

It's starting to look like a sad end for him. I'll always remember him for the greatest defensive play in Superbowl history

Why does it seem that our coaches either overthink things or don't think at all...l

True story: Had a friend in high school who owned a very classy late 40's vintage car that ran perfectly well...but he was always hitchhiking for rides - I asked him one time why he didn't drive his car and he told me his car would last a lot longer if he didn't use it. Is this what they're doing with Harrison? Maybe he should start practicing at QB.

We're saving him for the Super Bowl... he's responsible for throwing the party after we go 9-7 and lose in the first round.

I think the plan is for the Steelers to give him his participation trophy after they finish 8-8 to end his career while riding the pine during his final season.

We'll just have to wait and see how that actually goes.

This is the mindset of our coaches. When TJ got hurt ...deebo shouldve been in there. At this point, what are you saving him for

    They're not saving him. Period.

Just like they're not saving Josh Dobbs for great things later in the season.

Harrison is at the bottom of depth chart. The hard part comes when injuries arise and someone (who's been inactive for example) needs to get released to fill a hole. Even more drama may lie ahead!!
