It is really the fact that Ju,Ju has took over the slot,and AB has took over the punt returns. As such Eli has very little value . Ben is not good for Eli either as the type of slot player he is needs a better throw him open QB . Not a knock on Ben just a simple fact .

If Eli was with Brady he would be a main cog and a top tier slot WR . Ben needs players with a larger catch radius . He always has . Ju,Ju, and Hunter offer that radius plus have bigger body types to shield defenders from imperfect throws .

I doubt Eli gets much work at all this season and it is my stance it's really not his fault .

 

I dont think you have seen the last of Eli. He is being punished for a dropped punt but don't count him out yet.

 

No surprise there, Hunter is another deep threat JuJu can do what Eli does.

 

Saw that Bryant is now on the injury report... Nothing certain just a flash on the media ticker. Anybody have any info on that? If he can't go, I'm sure Eli gets a hat.

 

I think it's the stomach bug that has gotten players over the last 2 weeks. Listed as Illness, questionable.

Eli must be in the doghouse!

 

Eli dissapeared during the AFCC game when we needed him. I think that is where he went to the dog house.

 

eli still has some good hands and makes some tough catches of poorly thrown balls. hunter is pretty good as well and brings some toughness and size. we have a good bunch of receivers still and that has pushed DHB to pretty much ST's only. eli can still have some worth to us. we are 6 deep at this position and we can't play them all, but they have worth to us. it's a good problem to have really.

 

I think last week was a message to Eli. I think this week Hunter is getting the nod again because Bryant is under the weather....they actually have to target Hunter more to make his playing over Rogers worth it. If not I actually prefer Rogers because he might not offer up the big play potential, he is more valuable IMO as a middle of the field and check down option for Ben. He is more of a move the chains option I feel....this week especially with their pass rush isn't the game to be holding the ball.
