Huge 2 game swing in this Ravens game...

Is on the line and the difference between a Steelers win and a Steelers loss this weekend in Baltimore. A win puts the Steelers at 3-1 and the Ravens at 2-2 which would mean a 1 game lead over the Ravens in the division and the head to head tiebraker in hand as well with that win being in Baltimore which is essentially a 2 game lead on the Ravens.

Plus, the Ravens play in Oakland next Sunday in a game they probably won't win and the Steelers play the Jags at home. So you could be looking at a full 2 game lead over the Ravens with the tiebraker in hand at the end of next week as well. But you better win tonorrow in Baltimore and really make it extremely difficult for the Ravens who are the Steelers only competition in this division to catch them in the standings. A loss in Baltimore is gonna make things that much more difficult for the Steelers to win this division later on in the season.

 

I wouldn't count that jags game just yet. If the Steelers offense doesn't right the ship it could be a long game. Turnovers could be the decider and we should hope the typical Bortles shows up.

 

Based on the the fact the Ravens got punnished against the Jags I would assume Bortles is playing fairly well as is the defense .. 7 points is bordering ( Borterling) on a shutout

 

We would be lucky to beat jags

 

It will be a similar story to what we have seen so far this season. Road teams very different than home teams showing. Jags will struggle, perhaps the Steelers as well but will pull out a win in the end. Second home game they won't crap the bed on that one.

 

Yep, after the rat game I could see the steelers having a big let down after a big high in Balt, ive seen it happen so many times with this team you can almost count on it............

I have to take my shoes off for most math problems but we are currently 2-1. Not sure about the 1-4 dealio.

 

I think the Ratbirds are worse off than us. I think we will rise up and play our best and maybe they will not so much.

We might actually win and maybe comfortably.

 

The Rats know we are going to scale the playbook back . The Rats know Bell is not right. The Rats know that Ben will have to force the ball to AB . The Rats are coming off a beat down and will be jacked up at home.

IMO we have a very small window to win this game . The D will need to play great and probably need a score and we will need AB to take a punt or 2 to the house .

The Rats will use power running and PA so if the game stays close our D will get tired faster than their D . Haley is making huge mistakes sticking with Bell all the time .

Fans who keep claiming we go as far as Bell takes us are a bit off, I hope . If the season depends on Bell this season is all but over .

Bell is not out of shape and it is not rust he is either still hurt or he never healed properly . The way he is running he will never finish the season. We need to be making other plans . Is that not why we picked a RB early ?

In a game against the Rats we need to Impose our will, tap dancing will not do it they will beat Bell to death ,I fear for his Safety if we run him the entire game like we have been doing.

 

A win against both Baltimore and Jacksonville can happen for certain.


Question remains is how well the team plays.

Beating the Jags is far from a guarantee. OT but I still have nightmares of that ot pick six Maddox game & them winning a playoff game here. Oh, and that play in 2000 when Buress just decided to lay the ball on the ground.

 

I think these next two games are even more important than people think. The team took a psychological hit with the abuse they took after the anthem incident. However, nothing makes people forget more than winning. If they lose the next two and sit at 2-3, that will keep the 'unpatriotic Steelers' theme at the forefront, and could worsen the locker room cohesion. Apologies and regrets won't help the team move on, but winning will.
