    My favorite quote.

“I tell a lot of the guys, you want to do anything in the offseason, or on Tuesdays (the players’ day off), I’m fully for it. Team Pouncey will be there with you with everybody we have in our organization. We’ll be there and we’ll help you guys do whatever you want. But we’re football players.

This is obviously damage control. Hind sight is always 20/20. Just saying.

What a friggin joke. Somebody was going to kneel and that's why they didn't come out. My guess is punk ass Bell. This bull**** pisses me off more with each passing day.

I just wish there were more football players this past Sunday than Social Justice Warriors. Apparently, the 24 hours before the game, it wasn't da Bears they were discussing.

    Ain't that the truth.

What about the people still in the restrooms wearing a hat and sitting on the pot?

After what this team "SHOWED" me on Sunday, it's all TALK until they prove that they're sincerely sorry about this "misunderstanding" that they've been claiming it to be...

If Pouncey was a real leader, all of the Steelers would have been standing at attention with hand on heart last weekend. Since the Steelers fans made their feelings felt NOW he has become a leader. A BS leader! Villanueva is the leader. Leader with courage and integrity. The cowards were in the locker room!

I loved that quote too, Glenn. I hope after the backlash of this past weekend they understand that most fans want to keep politics out of football! But if the NFL continues to condone this crap around the league, then I'm no longer a consumer of the NFL's product! That pansy Goodell and these other idiots at corporate along with the owners need to freaking make a decision on how this is going to be handled going forward. There needs to be NO AMBIGUITY AROUND THIS ISSUE!!!! Make it a clearly defined league policy with repercussions as outlined in the game operations manual!

A couple thoughts here...I do understand the intent behind staying in the tunnel as a team. As stated, they wanted to keep the politics out of it. I do believe they really did have the right intention. Whether they should have done that or not can be debated until we are struck by the next planet X, but the intent was good. AV standing out there for the Anthem, he earned that right, however, they made a decision as a team, and a part of me wishes he would have acted with the team. Saying that, what I feel or think doesn't matter he did what he did. So, now the question is was the mistake on either part (team or AV) unforgivable? For me no, a mistake like this with the right intention is very much forgivable and I have. As for Rogers "witty" comment, I guess I don't find it so witty. The comment was snide, knit-picky, and I believe very pointed. Maybe if all these camera people stood for the flag and stopped videoing we might not have the mess we do right now because we wouldn't even know what the players are doing during that time. Maybe during the National Anthem we should have one camera rolling it should be pointed at the flag. Players can kneel, stand, pick their nose, scratch their butt, fans can have a giant orgy like the Romans, and we watching on TV wont be any wiser!

I will say one more thing on last week and hope to put it behind me and start Raven week off. The Steelers have always been a team/organization that has done it the right way. With that said there is a lot of hate and bad talk here by a lot of people. I think maybe before we all get upset we see what happens this week and put last week behind us, don't you all think the Steelers have earned it or does one mistake make us hate em????? I for one was pissed but I will say this, after reading a lot and seeing things more I am more pissed at how the media has turned things. I am willing to see how our team reacts not just talks but I think this organization has earned another chance................ Go Steelers!!!!!

I certainly don't hate the Steelers because of what Trump goaded them into. It was the right approach from the teams perspective and I suppose team decisions especially when they are trying to stay out of the political debate. Backfired perhaps but none the less this team is our team and I respect them. Calmer heads will prevail eventually after the emotions are out of the way. You cannot change peoples mind because their perception is their reality. No amount of excuses nor explanations will ever change their collective minds.
