All this stuff here will pass but hope you find peace in your home life, Josh.

Your football family isn't going any where :drinks:

Yeah, I hope this passes too, but I believe we have more control over it than we give ourselves credit for. It happened, we reacted, and now we can go back to...whatever it was before last Sunday. Glenn and PWP can go back to their love affair, BFT can go back to Disneyland, TTF can go back to trying to set boundaries for the rest of us, and I can go back to dropping football wisdom bombs on all you casuals. I think I'm going to cry a little now!

Hope all is well, and hopefully getting better. It has been a rather down week for me, as well
I always look forward to game days and now, I just don't know. My wife would be a lot happier if I concentrated on other things, other than football, I do know that.
Hopefully, this too will pass, and we can all get back to loving the game.
Hang in there, and I will do the same!

I'm pretty sure they were trying to cover all their bases. You can't pin it on Tomlin if he's out for the anthem. He brought a few coaches so it wouldn't look weird. Then everybody else in the tunnel. They really did put a lot of thought into this. 5 steps forward and a picture ruined it all.

Ok, lets not start all this again. Everyone has gotten a chance to say their peace.

    Back to football.

For what it's worth, Maurkice Pouncey has come out and said that every Steeler will stand on Sunday.

"Pittsburgh Steelers will go out there and do the right thing."

Man, I sure hope that's the case. I've made up my mind that if anyone kneels or sits during the Anthem, I'm handing the remote to my wife who will then turn it immediately to HGTV. I refuse to watch any game where the Anthem is disrespected...PERIOD! The NFL needs to get this under control NOW. I hope the backlash has convinced them that there is a time and a place for everything, and during the National Anthem before you get to go out and chase a pigskin around and make millions doing it is not the time nor the place! The NFL is all about its image and so I hope there is some good that can come out of this past weekend. The league doesn't want to lose half its fan base so I hope there are plans to get this thing under control by doing what the NBA has done, make it a clear requirement to stand for the Anthem. When you sit, kneel or do anything but stand, you're disrespecting the flag, our country, the military which has fought for the freedoms in this country that have made you a multi-millionaire and the police officers who are working overtime for you and your family and the thousands of fans who pack the stadiums each and every week. The Steelers made a major error in judgment last week but I'm willing to give Tomlin and Rooney and the rest the benefit of the doubt IF they do the right thing going forward.

Tomlin addressed it. My take on it: his concern was that the players be united, and he had pregame crap to take care of.

Too late. The NFL is a train wreck and the ****ing Steelers are right in the damn center of it.

Unfortunately it does, swann. I'm not buying what the NFL is selling if it includes, what I perceive to be, a blatant disrespect of our country, our military and our law enforcement.
