The killer is The Steelers would of been in sole possession of first place in the AFC North with the win and the Ratbirds got blown out. This one is going to come back to bite them in the ass at the end of the season.

Dupree and Chickillo were awful in run support. I've never seen a Steelers D get gashed like that around the edges.

I just think this team isn't as good as a lot of folks were led to believe as a whole,,Bells style is no longer a tricky thing to figure out ..The o line is not to be considered in the top 5 at all IMO..Talking heads keep on going on about all the weapons and all the offensive fire power ,but it has yet to be on display ..

I think play calling is just awful ,,i mean who spreads 5 wide on the goalline ,,SMH.
Most 3rd and shorts these days are always some stupid pass attempt that is always off line or result in a sack ..
Whatever happen to line it up ,punch it up the gut ,get fresh set of downs and continue on ...I don't know if its Haley or Ben but this trend is just not working ..

The one thing the Steelers have ALWAYS done well is defend against the run.

I'd have to look at the game tape, but it looked like the Bears were running a lot of 2 or 3 TE sets, when they broke off the big runs around the edge. Dupree and Chickillo were overwhelmed. I don't think Harrison or Watt would have helped much. Just good execution on the Bears part... while Dupree and Chickillo didn't get much help on the edges from the secondary and ILBs.

Their strength against the run depends on everyone doing their job. To many guys trying for splash plays yesterday instead of holding the line, stringing the play east to west and allowing VW and Shair to flow to the ball. Those two were shooting the gaps and getting gobbled up in blocks or taken out of the play. Reminds me of a Ravens game a couple of years ago where the Ravens sold motion going one way then gashed them on cutback plays.

One of the main reason I enjoy sports is because it takes me away from all the BS going on in the world today, but now the teams and players want to bring all the political stuff into sports. Really takes the enjoyment of the game away for me. Hard for me to figure how the players and teams can disrespect the flag and military when it is that, that allows them to protest, like protesting against what allows you to protest, crazy.

The players were not protesting or disrespecting the FLAG and military. The players are protesting disparaging comments made by the commander-in-chief.

Probably because of a misconception of the rules just like the fans. We think it is a rule because it's just always been like this for 20 years or whatever , when reality is there is no rules governing it.

The players were protesting like they are now long before the President make his comments about them and the NFL.

the players should be protesting inner-city black on black crime that is destroying the communities many of them grew up in.

It should have never got to overtime. Offense could not stay on the field. You can't expect the D to be out there that long and be effective. Bench bell and let Conner run.

True, if that idiot from Chi hadn't decided to showboat, they'd have scored 7 instead of 3, and would have won in regulation.

How long have you watched the Steelers? FYI, it wasn't the first time the Steelers defense had issues stopping the stretch run play.

Now that the dust has settled do you know how I feel about this crappy team? .......

    pretty damn fantastic.

We are playing awful, especially week 3. We are 2-1 and almost came out 3-0. Bell not in game speed, Ben BENding over for defenses, Our O line not fully healthy, our best D players have been out...

    2-1 with statistically a top 3 D.

This group has to gel sometime, and when they do we will DESTROY OPPONENTS LIKE NO OTHER. (then lose a clunker) BUT DESTROY OPPONENTS AGAIN AFTER!!!! (drop a nailbiter Raisin game).

In all seriousness we can easily be 0-3. Time to shape up, get some dudes back, and hope we stop bombing it(won't happen) and score some points.

Yeah I truly believe they were at a stale mate where a handful of players wanted to kneel so they took a vote late into Saturday night not mindful that they had a game to play Sunday morning as to what course of action to take. Im guessing the voting didn't go well like it went back and forth so the decision was obviuosly to stay in the tunnel since they could not reach a mutual agreement.
