You need to do some research on what actually happened.

The sad part is I don't think that the presser will slow the momentum of the narrative since it is becoming a Facebook frenzy. AV is now the poster boy for antiprotest movement and the team painted as cold and callous for not supporting him smh

He actually was being a team player. It is just that he cares more about his Army Ranger team that he fought for in life and death situations than he cares about this slapdick underachieving dopey Steelers team. How dare he?!!! A real a-hole, this AV guy is.

So, what about Tomlin's reaction and Villenueva being out there??

Thanks for the link, I would like to see video to back up what Ben said.

Regardless, no one on the Steelers started this movement, they were simply caught up in it. They regret what they did. I accept that and will have no issue watching them next week.

What I saw from Tomlin was frustration. Not directed any anyone player, but at the issue, at the events that unfolded. We don't know Tomlin's take on this issue. Maybe he feels strongly in agreement with those who took a knee and disagrees with AV. Maybe he agrees with AV. Bottom line, he wants to move forward focused on football not this issue that neither he nor anyone on his team started.

I'm thinking about hiding most of my family's posts just to avoid the topic.

The headlines that "Tomlin ripped Villenueva " just isn't true and a media spun story.

Tomlin himself was out on the sideline.

The fact is the team was 20 ft behind Al but stopped short when the anthem started. I would wager a guess that when Al speaks he will say he assumed his teammates were right behind him and that he wasnt trying to stick out.

I didn't quite follow their explanation. Are they trying to say just by random chance and chaos the one Army Ranger accidentally was closest to the end of the tunnel and accidentally walked out thinking the team was behind him? I don't buy that explanation.

So what would have happened if he played in the NFL before 2009 when they never did the national anthem before games?

Ben and Cam asked AV to lead them out.

I suppose nothing. Not sure what the point is? His comrades would not be watching how he handles the situation because the norm was different. The norm now is for players to be on the field.

The never said AV was supposed to lead them out.
He was invited to stand up with the captains.
Those guys are bumbling over their words.
Some serious damage control going on there.
I am glad that they're addressing it though.

Both guys are stand up guys. If they say that's what happened, then I'll accept their explanation.
