Well if they didn't call it on the other 200 ground yards gained, why start now. The D couldn't stop it period.

Thank you. Every year, we're sold this hype of this fantastic offense that's going to put up 30 a game. I just don't know where people get this stuff.

Big problem with fans is the just assume the Bears and other NFL teams are bad teams. Can't focus on records, what happened last year, or last week at the professional level. All teams have the talent to compete and win. Take a look around the league and you will come to that realization.

The players left plays and many missed tackles on the field. The best game plans can't over come poor execution.

I think 85% of the offensive snaps came out of that 3 Wr, 1 TE, single back grouping. It was almost always spread out and I can't remember them having tried a bunch formation or even trying some fakes like the Bears were doing with the reverses

They also went with an empty backfield far too often. Hell, they even did it on third-and-goal at the one. They got lucky with Brown drawing a defensive holding call on that one to set up Bell's one-yard touchdown.

That said, if Tomlin really is telling the truth about Harrison, there is no excuse for him not playing more in this game. They needed him against the run. This crap about saving players for later needs to stop. They are down Watt and Tuitt. The remaining guys need to play.

I agree with game plans but dont fool yourself. 17 pts with this offense? Is not good enough. The bears are average. I didnt think we were too

He'll probably retire for a season and then go to Cleveland and bring them their first Lombardi.

I've said it once and I will say it again... Ben is the biggest problem on this team!
Yes, he is the best qb we have had in a long time...but, his inconsistent play throughout his career and definitely not being able to will his talented offense to a win over inferior teams...is mind boggling

Seems to me Ben has the team handcuffed Tomlin afraid to run the ball down the opponents throat We get in these 2nd and shorts 3rd and shorts and he's passing the ball Todd Haley afraid of Ben and Mike Tomlin afraid of Ben

Ray thanks! I so mad at the way we played today but this post made me laugh my a** off. Ben appears to be washed up and I would dump Bell the first chance I could.

    Sure. Fine.

There's still a lot of football left to play though and they will get better. If we knock off Baltimore next week I expect not to see a peep like this from anybody.

That all doesn't excuse the level of head-calling that goes on every time we lose. The fanbase deserves the criticism it gets every time that happens.

I blame the Coaches and the players .The Saints where 0-2 and because of that they tweaked the game plan and started using a lot of PA . It worked great against the Panthers . We didn't adjust because we had a 2-0 record . We should have adjusted . Bell is not helping this Offence enough.

Ben is not as good as he used to be he needs to be given a better game plan with easier throws . We should not be in empty looks, we should use PA a lot more. We should be using Conner more he fits PA better .

Just as I stated the O was running on fumes , we need to change it up .PA is what we need to get good at .

The Bears gave Atlanta hell and almost pulled off the win in 1st game of season. 2nd game the Bears gave the ball away 4 times vs the Bucs. Difficult to win a game giving the ball away 4 times. Maybe the Bears will end up with a good record by the end of the season?

The Steelers have played like an average team so far this season. The Steelers defense might be out performing the highly touted Steelers offense so far this season. As usual the offense has a lof of weapons. The offense will perform as well as Ben performs. Ben is the player the Steelers built their offense around.

I don't view teams as average after all these years of watching. All teams have the talent to beat any team. We seen it over the years and witness it every single Sunday. The key thing is to understand why the Steelers loss to avoid being angry about it every week. The Steelers offense and defense need to make the necessary corrections and execute better going forward. For example, I don't believe the tackling by the defense will be as bad every week going forward.

I know what you mean. NFL football is pretty much the only sports I watch anymore. I so look forward to watching this team every week.
This loss just ruined my whole Sunday.

High-powered offense looks like high-powered mediocrity to me,a 20 yard run to win the game this is a tough one to swallow

I am really disappointed in the loss ans the protest. I thought the Steelers were the one team that doesn't get involved in protests and things like that. Iv'e been a fan for over 25 years and I don't know if I can jump ship like some fans are doing over this.

I think the hands of time will demonstrate that the Bears are not average. They were subpar and shooting themselves in the foot left and right. Even though this isn't a data-driven statement, I'm guessing we'll see the 'stats' that have plagued the Bears (like they've never led in a game) re-appear next week....

If you guys haven't watched Tomlin's post game conference yet you really should.

I love Coach's response. The Steelers made the best of their situation and recognize as always that they support each other because no one else will.

    A real family.

Again, talk of the anthem antics today is not allowed here, as it quickly devolves into petty political arguments, flaming, etc. And this board always had a no politics rule.

My only suggestion is this: digest it for a day or 2. read or listen to AV's interview that's surely to come. Gain some perspective.

Or go to Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc, etc and vent your spleen.

But not here. We want our Steeler family to be a family, not sniping at each other over politics. (It's hard enough keeping fights from breaking out over Tomlin, a loss, etc) ;)

Lets not forget the game ended on a 19 yard run...1 play after another 19 yard run....2 plays after what should have been a 63 yard run that turned into a 36 yard run after ruling he stepped out of bounds.
