The Steelers will not participate in the national anthem today. Instead hey will stay in the locker room.

****ing stupid but I guess that's better then disrespecting the flag. I was thinking about this because I knew it was a possibility and pictures of certain players kneeling would never go away. This is the best way to go about it.

Oh yeah it’s better than kneeing for sure but still it really bothers me.

Very upsetting...what about James past comments and the team comments about Al? Good bye Steelers, you're not more important than our flag.

Strange. Not sure what that means.

I would have preferred everyone standing as per usual, but staying in the locker room (for what purpose I'm not sure) is better than half the team taking a knee.

Same but it is their right. If they didn't do anything they would never hear the end of it. Let them make their point as a team once then be done with it. Better then having a few players kneeling here and there every game.

I dont understand all of this. Why will it only be the one time. Perhaps it happens weekly.. What is the point of this?

About done with NFL. National Anthem is not about them! It is about the people who have fought for you. Choose a different platform

A bunch of millionaires complaining about inequality. It was started by Kap who was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and knows nothing about inequality.

Because Trump went off yesterday about sports; Curry, Kaepernick, NFL, and saying if they kneel they should be fired. A whole bunch of stuff. Basically it's got the whole sports world watching today. Teams that don't do anything or have players that don't will probably get a lot of backlash. This will be a one time thing for the Steelers and luckily; not at home, no pictures of players kneeling, no disrespecting the flag, etc. This is best case scenario tbh.

Not really. It only became prevalent since social media has come around. Players didn’t really have the voice they have now. Before it was interviews only which stuck more to sports since that was the only chance they got.

There absolutely is a no politics policy.

Obviously this is a hot-button topic that stirs lots of emotions in many people, and until now our beloved Steelers have been out of the spotlight on this issue. Let's do our best to keep politics out of this and stay on topic.

It is exactly disrepecting the flag, only in a more cowardly, chicken scratch way.

Maybe all the fans should get up and walk out right after the American National Anthem is performed and go block highway traffic in order to protest the protest?
