Said it the other thread it makes zero sense. Just Johnson has position flexibility but I don't believe he is a special teams guy especially with that hamstring while Fort was in on blocked put and is athletic.

Stupid move by the FO IMO. (I don't usually say that either).

 

I know damn well some one here is happy about a JOHNSON .

 

Wonder if there is more to this than is apparent.

What do they see in Johnson? Fort looked good in the preseason.

You are correct. Johnson is a vested veteran and Fort is not. Johnson's entire season's salary would have been guaranteed if he had been on the roster on Day 1. Now it is not. This whole episode of dropping Johnson then signing him again was to avoid guaranteeing Johnson's salary.

 

He must have done something in the locker room or something. Fort has a brighter future than Johnson for sure. Not really sure what went on here.

 

i get the money thing but fort is the better LB. who else are they going to cut though? johnson has been hurt a lot too. hopefully we can get LJ back. keeping allen was going to force another position to be light.

 

Whatever happened to Steven Jackson? The RB that was supposed to save us from Vontaze Burfict in 2015?

It does seem strange. Almost harsh. But they just resigned him to the practice squad, so it is probably just our preception. Looking more and more like a $$$ move.
