Week one bold predictions

    With the first game only days away I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we could post a bold prediction for the upcoming game. If nothing else it will help pass the time between now and Sunday and it shoild be interesting to see on Monday how many and which were prophetic.

    My prediction : Mike Hilton has a pick six and sack, earning him player of the game honours.

    1. Going up against Joe Thomas, TJ Watt will have a rude awakening to the NFL.

    2. Crowell has a big day. 125+ rushing yards

    3. Shazier gets 2 INTs and a sack.

    Good thread, and I like your prediction regarding Hilton. Here are mine:

    Game prediction: the Browns focus so much on the 3 B's that Ben targets Eli Rogers 10 times with 8 completions for 90+ yards.

    Message board prediction: the first time the Browns mount a productive drive, the board explodes with statements like "our secondary still sucks; fire Tomlin" and "we're making Kizer look like Joe Montana." Oh, and the obligatory "we're doomed."

    Vegas wouldn't even give odds on that bet. :thumbs_up:

    I'll predict the team will start slow again and the offense will look out of sync. Boswell will be the game MVP.

    History has shown the Steelers usually play sloppy and mistake-prone football in September. There have been exceptions, but I don't think this year will buck the trend.

    My bold prediction: Boswell and Berry will be busy with field goals and punts. Berry more than Boswell.

    I have concerns about AV as well, he has not looked good this preseason imo. I was going to make a thread but this works. Anyone else concerned? We'll know more after the end of game 1 I guess. And Garrett hurt his ankle in practice and is listed as questionable or limited (??). So maybe AV gets a break this first game.

    Browns take an early 10-0 lead. Early jumping off bridges ensues.

    Steelers take the lead on a touchdown by none other than Roosevelt Nix. Browns don't score again after that. Steelers win by double digits.

    And someone from this message board wins the draft kings billion dollar challenge!!!!
