Dupree, they need him to get to that 10 sack mark. The Steelers haven't had a player with double digit sacks since 2010 I think .

Yeah, he's gonna be big for us. Davis is another one. If he can take a big step forward for us, it will help us shore up the secondary and become a major player to win it all.

Wouldn't it be nice if Watt/Harrison and Dupree were as lethal a duo as Harrison and Woodley in '08. Both double digit sacks. Miss those days with a nice pass rush.

Agreed. If Haden pams out then short of injuries the front seven should have no excuses.

    No doubt.

Technically speaking, he was on track to possibly do so last season until an abdominal injury cut his season short.

Now that he is healthy, now excuses.

Other than the secondary, I don't want to see any starter on the field.

I don't agree too often with you, but I am on board with this. We better have great pressure this season
from our front seven or it could get nasty. I also have high expectations for Hargrave.

One thing that stuck with me... that either porter or butler said...we have to generate pressure on the qb without bringing the house. The giants were/are the patriots killers. On defense, they were able to rush 3 and generate pressure and then able to drop back 8 in coverage. This is and has been the remedy from day 1. But, it seems that everyone has forgotten

The defensive line is as good as it has been in a long while. We even have a little depth there. I don't remember the last time we had three guys that could all legitimately get after the QB.

Sure. They're one of the top 3 man fronts in NFL history. The current front is no slouch though, and they're ascending.

Senquez Golson. I mean, like, literally just one step. One, glorious, injury free, step.

Okay here is my guy that needs to take the next step....

    Cam Heyward.

He needs to stay healthy and lead through his play on the field.

I worry about Bud. He still hasn't seemed to develop any other pass rush moves besides the straight bull rush.

it's sad we can't hit on any pass rushers lol. We need a munchak but for linebackers, turn crap to gold.

Dupree is an obvious candidate. However my guy is Sean Davis. His play this preseason has scared me. I think safety is a position of underrated importance, and our overall safety play is bad without Mitchell - honestly it's not great even with Mitchell. If the light goes on for Davis it can really solidify the back end. He has plenty of natural ability for the position.

They played a 4-3 but one would drop on coverage as well and they were still able to get pressure on brady.
Even when we played them. They would get pressure on ben with 3 lineman.
A 3-4 alignment will/has always got eaten up by brady, manning, and any other quick trigger qb

He had a penalty on the last drive versus Cowboys that may have been the difference in the game (that and Ben using the clock). With maturity and experience, I too would like to see Davis contribute to winning games.
