    I had a feeling we were going to sign him, but not to a three year deal... was expecting a one year deal at first. I don't mind it though, because our Super Bowl window is 2-3 years.

    Lets get it done. Here We Go.:towel:

    I was hoping for 2 years. I can live with 3.

    The $ is certainly more than I was hoping. I would have liked 6M/yr.

    It's nice to hear he turned down bigger offers. He wants to be a Steeler. (I know what else is he suppose to say.)

    This is a gamble. Definitely. But if Ben is on a short clock, I say go for it.

    Love it. I know he's coming off a bad year.
    I don't even count 2015 where he played only 3 games..... this is gonna be a huge signing I love it. Him and burns 1-2

    It will be interesting to see the $$$ breakdown. 3/27 sounds big, but until we know the guaranteed dollars it doesn't mean much.

    Usually I think these signings never work out for Pittsburgh (Boykin and Gilbert come to mind) but I actually have optimism about this. I can see him fitting well into the zone scheme.

    I read 7 million guaranteed

    I'd guess year 1 is fully guaranteed 7 million and then 2 additional years at 10 million per with no guarantees


    So it's probably a 1 year / 7 million deal, with Steelers holding 10 million dollar options if he returns to form

    I can see him wanting to stay in our division(6 games) where he basically knows the opposition very well and it could only help his value....IMO.
