Steelers Vs Colts Preseason Gameday Thread

I think I figured it out. Our defensive scheme is outdated. Reason why our 2-3rd stringers are better than others. Also, why we have such a great record against rookie QBs. It's good against inexperienced players but players with experience will pick it apart all day.

 

If I took a drink of coffee every time Charlie Batch says "on that particular play" I'd be up for days.

Did anyone see Landry laughing when Dobbs ran out of bounds next to him? I'm guessing Landry said "and you thought you were gonna take MY job???" LOL!

But, um, like, um, most inexperienced quarterbacks struggle against NFL defenses so like, um, yeah.

 

Watson is the guy I'm pulling the hardest for.

 

Started slow 2 weeks in a row... 1st team defense giving up some runs...

Well you might've been right if that was a trend for more than just this pre season... in the past few years only our starters looked good and then the backups would just get destroyed to the tune of like 3 preseason wins over the course of 4 years (or something like that). So the trend until just this season has been the exact opposite... so no, it's not an outdated scheme. Just the depth players are playing better than they have in the past. That's not a bad thing.

Preseason means zero. Absolutely nothing at all. There's no reason to get hyped over a good preseason, or upset at a poor one. It has no bearing on our season at all outside of injuries sustained (which hopefully we escape with none).

 

I don't want to hear logic, just stop.
