Actually, the article that you linked to says he will make his preseason debut. Not that he will start. By all accounts that will be Roethlisberger.

he has been out of practice for awhile and i hope if he's not sharp we don't have to hear how he stinks, but we will. he will be just fine for us.

You can say that about any starting QB in the league, how many backups can carry a team for more than 2 or 3 games when the starter is out.....

 

Exactly.

It looks less noticeable when the starter is a future HOFer, but the results are typically the same.

Dak was Romo's backup. Rodgers was Favre's backup. Cassel was Brady's backup. It isn't a stretch or unrealistic to expect a backup QB to be worth a crap. Our backup QB's suck and that is putting it nicely. Not to mention Brady was a freaking backup to Bledsoe. Unlike some of you guys, I'm not going to apologize for sh!tty backup QB play

 

I suspect LJ will light up a poor Colts D tonight.I don't think he is NFL starter material , but he may look the part tonight .

 

The Steelers are 6 point favorites over the Colts. Seems like a real good bet taking the Steelers and giving the Colts the 6 points. I'm 2 for 2 with the Steelers on bets so far this season, Might as well make it 3 for 3.

Of course every team has a drop off from their starter to their BU's. But some aren't as big a drop off as we have with the Steelers. There are probably at least 20 other backups that have significantly greater potential to do something good than our backups.

 

Don't know, but it's me betting with my money so if I was you I wouldn't worry too much about it.
