Article from Dulac on the progress that Chickillo is making, and what his team-mates are saying.

Obviously still not the finished product by a long way, but good to see he's making strides in the right direction. He's one of those guys you want to root for.

 

i always thought he was pretty good, just injured.

 

Can't read the article but I agree he looks improved. His motor is an asset with improved hands.

A solid rotation will wear down OL.

Tony Chick is definitely taking advantage of his opportunities, and IIRC pre-draft he said he hated the 3-4 defense. He's made some great strides.

 

I thought he was a diamond in the rough from our draft class; my biggest favorite being LT Walton.


Never doubted him for a second. All he needes was to be reintroduced to his natural edge rushing position. Al Golden who was his coach on the hand.... that is a different story that really deserves its own thread in itself.


If anything, had Chickillo played his natural position as an edge rusher and not switched into a power end like he was at the University of Miami, I could have easily seen him being a mid to early day two pick from 2015.


Al Golden severely ruined quite a bit of talent during his tenure there.

 

He can get after the QB.

He certainly has undergone a heck of a body transformation. He looks fabulous out there. He's running around like a deer.

He sure as heck makes me feel a lot better about the olb rotation. I didn't know if he'd ever be worth anything. In fact, I doubted it. But it looks like he could bust out a bit. Then leave for a nice payday somewhere else. Good for him. And us.

 

Sad that this statement could be applied to a number of Steelers in recent years.

 

part of the game. looks like the pats may lose edelman. big blow to them.

 

the strip sack early last year was an indication. i've said all along he will be good depth and may push. i like the U players anyway. dupree better get healthy too because we will have one heck of a rotation of fresh legs coming at teams.

 

That helps level the playing field.

 

we are due for a healthy year. that's so much of being a good team the whole year.

 

Playing the Pats is never a level playing field. They make sure of that.

I like the kid, ... gotta love that fact that both his Dad and Grandad were pros as well, wish him the best... but if he is our 2nd string I'm a bit worried.

 

I think he has a very good first step, he needs to bend the edge better when he gets that step, not really great setting the edge in the run game, but could make a good pass rusher if he could bend better and develop a spin move off of that.

 

Me too their athleticism is usually off the charts. I have watched first hand LOL (Pitt Panthers)
